Best location and ambient in Istanbul. Amazing location in the centre of Istanbul. Easily walk anywhere while feeling the lovely ambient of the city. And no issues with sound pollution.. .

Very nice experience, highly recommended. Wonderful, antique style, wood constructed hotel. Very relaxed environment. Upper floors are comfy rooms, while main floor is lobby but really more like a living room which also includes a friedly cat. Hot tea and coffee available day and night. Host/owner Ayhan is a wonderful, warmhearted, accomodating, and helpful man. Due to circumstance beyond our control had to extend our stay in Istanbul from 3 nights to 10, not once did we consider moving to another hotel.. Big windows let in lots of light during the day but a little extra illumination at night would have been helpful.

Absolute gem of a hotel. Amazing hotel - beautiful traditional turkish wooden furniture and fittings, common area for eating meals, and having tea/coffee with fellow guests. Central location, excellent wifi and a desk provided in the room.. The shower in the bathroom was OK, but not great..

Overall it was a very enjoyable stay for us in Oba hotel, lots of tourists spots are nearby the hote. Everythiing was fine, owner is an excellent person, very helpful, provided cooking facility, tea/ coffee 24 hours available, gave us 2-3 choices for rooms to stay, very calm and quite place to stay.. Hotel was little far (10 min walking distance) from the tram and was in down from the street. So, it was little difficult to walk with lugage as the roads are not plain, very rough and stony..
