Hotel closed for refurbishment . I arrived late at the hotel in a cab to find that it was closed for refurbishment. Not good that Expedia allow you to book when the hotel is currently not operationaL. I called the customer service line straight away and the operative I spoke with was apologetic and helpful at least. Lucky that a nearby hotel had space, or I could have bee in a very tricky position . .

Istanbul Weekend Trip. Stayed at The Istanbul Hotel for 3 days and really liked the location! Everything of the Old City was right there. Breakfasts were nice, on the rooftop restaurant with a great view of the nearby Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque and the city line/Bosphorus Bay. The hotel needs a little more TLC, as some maintenance needs to be done. Overall, a nice hotel and rooftop restaurant.. .

great hotel and it wasn't expensive. The location was perfect. The hotel staff was extremely helpful. The dining room on the 6th floor had a spectacular view of Istanbul, the food was wonderful and the service was fabulous. I would definitely stay there again.. .
