Gem near istiklal. This hotel is absolutely wonderful! We had a great stay. Very reasonably priced, and perfect walking distance to istiklal. It was on a quiet street. The rooms are on the small side, but we didn't mind because the bed was comfortable and we were out exploring most of the day anyway. . .

. This tourist class hotel in the Taksim / Beyoğlu neighborhood is in an excellent location in the heart of the action. The Miapera is just a block off Istiklal Caddesi, Istanbul’s most bustling pedestrian street. There are tens of thousands of people out and about every evening until after midnight. It's great for young people and families. The street is full of bars, stores, charming restaurants and fast food joints. Though steps from the action, it’s removed enough as to not be too noisy. Just about 200 meters from the Sishane Metro station, a car is totally unnecessary. You can get just about anywhere on foot or on the Metro. The hotel received a stylish makeover within the last decade but, like most new stuff, things are starting to wear out. For instance, my room safe was broken, the sink stopper was loose and the door handle came off in my hand. At the end the day, it didn’t really matter. I didn’t spend much time in the room. The staff was nice, even friendly. I had moved from a nicer hotel in a quieter area and I’m glad I did. The breakfast was good, the place was clean, and it’s so nice to be able to get a good night’s sleep and still be able to step out the door and be in the heart of the fun.. .

WORST HOTEL DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY NO WATER NO ELECTRICITY POOR BREAKFAST POOR TREATMENT NOT SAFE. Worst hotel ever stayed in. We booked two superior rooms rooms. On checkin one of the rooms we were given was very basic room with broken locks and door handle. Blocked sink, very tiny and on terrace with bad views. Too small to even stand infront of beds. Soon after checkin in afternoon the running water was stopped. We tried room phone and found that phone was not working. Went to reception all the way from lifts and were told a lie that it was from water supply company affecting other properties but we found later that was wrong. We couldnt use washroom and use water to freshen up. This lasted for SIX hours and in between they kept on switching off electricity. Wasted one day of stay which was painful as we paid and couldnt get ready to enjoy. There were no bathrobes in both rooms and for the safes in one room had no battery and both were not fixed in cupboards so anyone can take it away. One day someone told when they stopped water again that they were waiting for water tank to fill up.
On booking it says pool and spa but this is trap. These are non functional and not available. We enquired from reception staff and one person gave obvious excuses which dont make sense. Beaware this hotel doesnt have the facilities or water to maintain that.
There was one guest staying there, was unwell as had some surgery done. She was literally at her wits end from the condition the hotel was in and treatment she had from them. No one was listening to her concerns and she was shouting.
Next day at breakfast we were told to pay 5 euro for each omlette although I had breakfast included with price. Checked with management and they stated rules have been changed since booking and we have to pay. At breakfast they didnt even provide proper bread or any suitable items. We couldnt even make tea as we liked as they kept the tea coffee under check. It felt like a worst hostel anyone could imagine. The staff at breakfast is rude and unwelcoming.
Few days later water supply stopped again for hours. Then someone told they had some issue the management is hiding and affects few floors. They didnt inform us or provide water in room for the disruption.
We asked for manager to talk to who never showed up to speak in six days of stay. Never replied to messages online on booking.com.
At night hotel is not safe as there is no security and night person is seen mostly smoking with shady people outside hotel everyday. We were refused drinking water and asked to pay 2 euro each bottle if we needed by management. We went out to buy water bottles at night.
Our flight was late and when we asked to pay for half of day stay to keep our bags and get ready they overcharged again for 6 hours stay and on top they switched off heating of that room too.
When we went to checkout they asked if we used minibar or not. I told we didnt use as didnt need to. Infront of everyone other person sent the girl to room to check as if I was lying or not. This was disgraceful to see how they treat the guests.
I contacted booking.com and informed of all the incidents and service concerns and still waiting for reply. They did mention once when we were there that the hotel has refused any support requested.
Long story short dont stay at this hotel. Its not safe, everything is broken, no water or electricity, really bad breakfast, they will ruin the stay and your holiday, scam you, torment everyday with whatever they can. From outside it seems clean which most people can get deceived from but inside this hotel is really really bad.. .

. Misrepresentation
I booked Miapera Hotel & Spa – Special Class for September 11–13 through Expedia. The listing (and my booking confirmation) clearly advertised a spa, indoor pool, and hot tub. These amenities were the primary reason for choosing this property above other available hotels. We specifically selected and paid the rate we did because these facilities were included, as they were an important part of the experience we expected.
Upon arrival, I discovered that the spa, pool, and hot tub are closed for renovation, and the hotel never informed me in advance. This is a misrepresentation of the property, as I paid for services that were not available. We were very disappointed not to enjoy this luxury, and it dramatically changed our experience during the stay.
The hotel did offer us a discounted price on a massage treatment as compensation. However, this was not an acceptable alternative — only male therapists were available, we had no interest in paying extra for another massage, and we were not looking for a massage in the first place. We chose this hotel specifically for the advertised spa, pool, and hot tub facilities, not for massage treatments.. .
