Grasias. Very clean and nice hotel in the centre of the town ,what ever you need is in 20 minuts walking.Guys on the reception are very helpfull and friendly and if we ever back to Barcelona we will go ther maybe small thing and problem is we did not hot water when we need it.. .

Great location. An extremely friendly, quality hotel, located right outside Parel-lel metro station. Access to all parts of the city is simple. Breakfasts were good but the evening menu was unimaginative and very limited, although the quality was good. The staff couldn't have been more helpful (especially Mark on reception). The rooms were well-furnished and very comfortable. No traffic noise experienced.. .

Barcelona weekend trip. We came to watch the FC Barcelona football team play on March 31. The hotel location is excellent with only a 25-30min walk to the Olimpic stadium. The included breakfast is also of very good value. The staff at the lobby were very friendly. Metro station paral-lel is right next to the hotel as well.. .

Brilliant birthday weekend at the Universal!. Brilliant hotel situated by the metro so a short trip to the centre of Barcelona. Hotel staff were excellent - helpful and friendly. There for a long weekend for my birthday, we came back to a small gift to mark the occasion which was a nice surprise. Room was very comfortable and clean. Thanks to all the staff for making it such a great weekend. .

Nice enough but not 4 star in my opinion. Bed was very comfortable, room clean, good choice for breakfast. Staff very friendly and helpful, however our room was in need of several minor repairs for some reason the wardrobe doors had been removed completely.
Very good location but if you like it quiet this is not the place to stay, located on a busy road (I think they could do with upgrading their double glazing), which was very noisy all night, so much so at one point I thought I had left the window open, I had not.
Also only three small lifts for the size of the hotel. These seemed to be constantly breaking down. When I asked if there were some stairs we could use instead, as we were only on the 3rd floor, I was told no, the stairs were for staff only.. .
