Lower than expectations… would have paid more or chosen a place far from the scene…. Great location right next to the Main Street of Taksim Square, but also comes with noises during nights. Facilities are very very old and in poor conditions. For example broken toilet seat, dusts over the fan shades, bed sheets and pillows….

Unimpressive. . I recently stayed at the Taksim Gatalist Hotel in Istanbul, specifically in a Deluxe Double Room, and unfortunately, my experience was less than ideal.
While the hotel's location is certainly its strongest point—just a stone's throw away from Istiklal Avenue and Taksim Square—my stay had several drawbacks. The room itself was surprisingly basic, especially considering the price. To make matters worse, I was placed on the highest floor, which was located next to a housekeeping storage room. This meant I was subjected to constant noise pollution throughout the day, with cleaning staff frequently walking in and out, which was both disruptive and frustrating. I also felt uneasy being placed on that floor alone, with no other guests nearby.
The hotel’s amenities were disappointing as well. The escalator was far too small, barely fitting one or two people at a time, which was inconvenient. More concerning, however, was the water disruption on Sunday, 10-November. The entire day was marked by a lack of water supply, and despite multiple inquiries, the issue was never resolved. As a result, I was unable to take a bath on that day, which was extremely frustrating.
To top it all off, I had arranged an airport transfer through the hotel, paying 1,200 Lira in advance, only to be charged an additional 100 Lira upon arrival at the airport, with no explanation given. This left a sour taste in my mouth, especially after an already disappointing stay.
In conclusion, while the hotel’s location is excellent, the overall experience fell short of expectations. The noise, poor amenities, water issues, and unexpected extra charges all contributed to an unsatisfactory stay. I would not recommend this hotel to others based on my experience..

Overall had no problems was lovely and warn inside. Loved the location because as soon as you stepped out of the hotel it was awesome with the shopping centre literally turning around the corner.. The vinyl was ripped in a few places plus it was a bit too small for the 5 of us and there wasn't a long mirror. Only 1 glass 1 teaspoon..
