. Windsor is a 4.5 star hotel with all the facilities one could wish for. The staff are helpful and prices are reasonable except when there's peak demand in Istanbul then prices everywhere go crazy. It's a bit far from the Sultanahmet busy area but trams and metros are available at reasonable rates. .

. This is not a Family friendly or couple friendly Hotel. It is simply a business city type hotel. The Reception and the front of house staff are are totally useless. Stayed seven days here but not once I saw any one of them engaging with the guests. They were all too busy on their mobile phones. No assistance with luggage or any other issues. The only person that was any good was the room cleaner. She was excellent and very helpful. I would not recommend this hotel for a holiday stay. There are far better hotels with very friendly staff in Istanbul. I definitely booked room with breakfast, but on arrival was told no breakfast is booked. So not a good start. They were too keen to sell me tours etc but service that you would expect in a so called 5 star hotel is totally lacking. The pool is very cold . The Spa prices are extortion. Avoid this hotel at all costs . Expedia should take this off their books for sure. . .

. This was our fourth visit to this hotel, as usual it met our expectations however unfortunately we encountered discriminatory and disconcerting behaviour of the front desk staff.
This has never happened previously on any of our visits, seem these staff were a new batch who seemed more interested in themselves and IC1 customers. All other staff are top notch, very approachable and helpful.
I am a regular to IST, Windsor would have been a regular but will now consider other options.
PS - temperature was over 30c, ac was very weak.. .
