Lovely new year break at Flora Parc. Lovely hotel. Nice big rooms. Spotlessly clean through out. Staff worked endlessly in all areas, cleaners, restaurant staff, receptionist. Always smelt lovely and clean throughout too. 2 lifts saved us waiting long for a lift. Tatiana on reception made our holiday so special. So many languages spoken, English clear as day. Gave us so many tips and pointers on where to go and how to get there. Followed up in the evening or the following day to see how we got on. She was truly wonderful, we were so grateful for all her help.
Barcelona is close by *always use x95 bus… much faster than L95!. We were at the back and sadly no sunshine in the winter got to our rooms. Not the hotels fault but was looking forward to sitting chilling on the balcony in the sun and it wasn’t to be sadly..

Flora Parc stay. Stayed here from the 29th until 2nd of Jan for a new year break for my family from Scotland.
Check in was after midnight due to delays of the flight but it was no issue for the staff (I called ahead too) check in was painless and our room was ready.
Rooms are amble size for what we needed. Fridge is a great additional, tv had Netflix and YouTube which some films are English.
Breakfast is a nice choice of hot, cold and pastries as well as toasters for bread and crusty bread. Juice and coffee included.
Ate one night at dinner which didn’t go well as we picked something we didn’t know/like but they were happy to change it free of charge which was greatly appreciated.
The star of Flora Parc is Tatiana on reception. She is a multilingual and so kind. She gave us maps, step by steps on public transport, areas to try for new year (if you’re here for new year highly recommend Castelldefels square, fantastic atmosphere… recommended by tatiana) she took the time every single time we passed to ask how the day prior had gone, how did we enjoy things, how much did it cost my husband taking us two out shopping!
She is an asset to flora parc and if we book again our only hope is Taiana is still there. Her warmth and energy helped make a good holiday wonderful. Thank you.. .

Very good. Very good breakfast and nice staff. The room was a little bit dark, and the other building was so close that we couldn't open the curtains.

Comfortable and connected. I spent a couple of days in this hotel and I liked the location, close to the centre of Castelldefels and the ‘Anèc blau’ mall. The beach is a 25-minute walk away but you can take the local buses too. If you fly from or to terminal 1 of Barcelona airport, you can take bus line L99. There is a stop nearly in front of the hotel. The staff at Flora parc are helpful and friendly. The rooms are comfortable and clean. You can have breakfast outside, which is very pleasant. The quickest way to Barcelona is the train. The train station can be reached in 10 to 15 minutes by walk and it takes 20 minutes to go to Barcelona Sants. Train is an option to go to the airport too. The ‘renfe cercanias’ app is very useful for the train trips.. .

Stay Away.. My partner and I had originally planned to stay at this hotel for 6 nights but ended up leaving after only 3 nights due to several reasons, namely, the hotel manager attempting to threaten us with the police for no valid reason besides both homophobia and xenophobia. Please read on…
First, the hotel failed to notify us of construction occurring next to the hotel which began early each morning and went into the evening each day. (By the way, this won’t be completed anytime soon). This was very noisy. When I first had complained about this, their response was “no one else complains about this”. I simply do not believe that, as the noise woke us up each morning and made it unbearable to sleep in past 8am. This should have been the first sign that guest satisfaction was not a priority at this hotel. On top of this, the mini-fridge in the room was also loud. Although they did change this for us when requested, it was not without rude comments and an attitude from the person who came to replace it. Second, the housekeeping staff was also rude and repeatedly gave us dirty looks if we had stayed in the room too long on any one day to get a room clean. Despite us tipping when we did ask to have it cleaned (coming from Canada, this is typical for us). At this point, we were not happy with the hotel but decided to stay as checking out early and going to another hotel would have been too expensive at this point.
However, this mindset of ours changed quickly when one night when we returned to our hotel with with our local, long time friend (from Spain) to pickup a jacket before heading back out. As we walked in, we were abruptly stopped by the hotel manager who immediately yelled at us, saying we could not bring anyone else up to our room, despite the room being booked for triple occupancy. As luck would have it, there were several police offers having dinner at the hotel and the hotel manager quickly escalated the situation, called over the police, and began talking to them in Spanish. Thankfully, our local friend was able to translate for us and told us that the hotel manager was telling the police officers lies such as we are bad guests, are partying in the room, and repeatedly said we are trying to “cheat” the hotel. To this day, I still have no idea what he meant by “trying to cheat the hotel”. I can only assume because when the housekeeping staff cleaned our room, we had a few beers cans in the trash, they made the assumption we were partying and going to continue to do so, which was simply not true. As well, we thought maybe the hotel manager was homophobic and racist as we are a gay couple my partner is Asian. Once our local friend made it obvious that spoke spanish and understood these lies, the hotel manager looked embarrassed and stopped lying to the police. As well, the only nice reception person tried to tell the manager that what he was saying was not true, but he was told to stop talking (I assume because the manager didn’t want the police to here this contradictory information to what he was saying). At this moment, we felt completely unsafe in this hotel and knew we has to leave if we wanted to feel safe. Having severe anxiety myself, this resulted in me having a panic attack on my vacation in a foreign country on the night he lied to the police about our intentions.
The next day we checked out, cut our losses, and booked into another hotel in the area. We also phoned Expedia, who has booked the hotel through, to complain about the situation. The Expedia agent was very understanding, and in the process called the hotel to begin a refund request of the unused nights as well as offering us a credit with Expedia as an apology. The hotel also lied to Expedia saying that they gave us the option to have our local friend show their ID if they wanted to come up and said the police were never involved. That is completely false as the hotel manager was not accommodating, yelled at us right away, and add us feel threatened, intimidated, and unsafe and spoke lies to the police officers who happened to be in the lobby having dinner.
I 100% do not recommend this hotel to anyone. Based on the other one star reviews, it’s obvious the hotel takes no responsibility for their actions, continues to blame guests, lies, does not tolerate diversity, and operates in an unethical way. (Just take a look at their responses to other bad reviews). Please do yourself a favour and look elsewhere. The savings this hotel offers is simply not worth it.. .
