Very dated & old fashioned bedrooms, badly in need of some tlc!!. Definitely in need of an update! Lobby area is really lovely & alot of time of effort put in to for Cmas. Was very disappointed in the room though, very dated, creaky bathroom door, bed, chipped paintwork in the bathroom & 3 channels on the TV, curtains falling down & horrendously old fashioned, powdered milk for tea/coffee making facilities! Staff @ reception were very pleasant & helpful despite our late check in. Breakfast staff also lovely. Concierge very rude & unhelpful, asked a question about travel to Paris & he was very sneery & condescending, reception staff far more helpful with our query. Breakfast very good but some items cold like the hash browns that were left uncovered. Really good selection of hot food to order. As a Marriott it definitely needs improvement especially with the rooms as they are so outdated & very 80's but good location for a short stay ir layover after a flight ✈️. .

Exceptional. Hotel staff, especially the bar staff and the people who are on reception in the evening, are exceptionally professional and helpful.. Taxation on the deposit. But it seems that's French law w.

Half the hotel consists of outdated rooms. The Marriott is really two separate hotels in one building. Two or three floors are unrenovated rooms that are at least 7 years overdue for an exhaustive, floor-to-ceiling renovation. Rooms on the other floors were renovated around 2019 and 2020 and are fairly consistent with new or newly renovated Marriott properties, although even these rooms have significant wear and tear. The big issue here is at least half, if not more, of the rooms are like taking a Time Machine back to the late 1990s or early 2000s. The rooms are virtually unchanged in 20 years. Even in the renovated room the TV was old and from probably 2008. Most Marriott hotels today have a 55 inch TV. This was maybe 42 inches. In the bathroom, no mouthwash or dental kit was provided. They have also eliminated bars of soap for liquid hand wash. This was the only Marriott hotel that I have ever stayed at without a bar of soap. Housekeeping is inconsistent. Room cleanliness is superficial. While at first glance the room looked clean, it really wasn’t. Hairs, nail clippings and other debris were visible on the floor. In the bathroom, the shower had mold or mildew. The hotel uses a third-party contractor so the housekeepers are not actual hotel employees. The restaurant is very elegant with a white tablecloth dining room. There is also a more casual bar. Prices are fair. Staff are friendly, polite and professional. English is fluent or near-fluent. Some attention to detail is missing. For Bonvoy elites, there is no club lounge. But they give you free soft drinks in the mini-bar and then breakfast in the restaurant. That’s good enough. I would note the Sheraton inside CDG has a club lounge and does similar elite recognition. So, I’m not sure it’s worth staying here because you either need to take an Uber, taxi or hotel shuttle OR you need a car. For the price difference, the Sheraton is a much better value if you need to be at the airport. The big issue besides the lack of a club lounge is the rooms. Again, it’s like two separate hotels. Even in the renovated rooms the TV is at least 14 years old. The TV was small (maybe 35-40 inches) and was from around 2008. Besides the old TV, there was excessive wear and tear as well as mold or mildew in the shower. All things considered, the Marriott lobby feels like an elegant, upscale hotel. Unfortunately, at least half the rooms are a below the standard you expect in 2024. The other rooms while better are a poor value for money. I would instead recommend the Sheraton inside CDG. Alternatively, the Hyatt Place and Holiday Inn are also recommended.. .
