Nothing special, but good value for money - excellent location.. Location was the best part - the room definitely needs a bit of freshening up but overall, fine if you just need to sleep. Receptionist was nice and helpful. Great area, loads going on as well and very well-connected via metro and buses. The funicular to Karakoy was super close by as well.. .

Was just OK, even for the price.. Location not close to, but in the middle of everything. Short walk to major metro stops including the iconic Halic bridge. Room was spacious. Room was well stocked with hygienic products and refreshments.. Had a bad experience but other people may have better luck. On arrival I was told my room would be in a different property. This was across the road at a property called Peradise. First receptionist was friendly, but the one at the other property made a mistake with other guests who arrived at the same time: when I tried to go into my room, other guests were already in there! Turns out to be a mix up with the keys, receptionist was apologetic but he didn't handle it particularly well. Decor and fittings were dated and falling apart. Clothes iron print burned into the sofa. Cleanliness was acceptable, nothing more. Air-con wasn't effective and didn't cool the room. Shower pressure was not great..

Poor. . Its a walk up. If youre unlucky they will give you the 5th floor room. Which is pretty bad for someone who have asthma or heart disease or even elderly people. Also, i booked this place twice, on my second stay the garbage bin wasnt changed. I also saw garbage under the bed when i had to pick up something that i dropped. Kettle was dirty and most of the utilities are outdated and not properly working. Even the light switch. I wouldn’t stay here again..

Great location, amazing staff. The staff were super friendly, very good with the English language and were very knowledgeable. The location, although on a fairly steep street, was good. I enjoyed walking around the city, across many bridges, but the option of the metro was very nearby, a minute or two walk from the hotel. Istanbul is very well connected so the accessibility this hotel has is fantastic.. It was on a steep hill. This is expected in the Galata area. It wasn't an issue for me or my partner, and I'd stay here again. maybe someone with mobility issues should think twice, although, Istanbul is very hilly throughout the city..

Great location, clean room, value for money, exceptional service from nice people. Great location, clean room, value for money, but it is the exceptional people that makes this hotel great for us. The owner(?) went above and beyond in helping us to find a hospital for vaccination when my son had a dog bite incident, and the day and night receptionists are both very friendly and helpful. Thank you so much, nice people at Galapera Hotel!. Not sure why there was strong foul (sewage) smell outside our room in last two evenings that we had to open wide the window to ventilate. Maybe this was just isolated incident ?.
