. A well located hotel near main train stations. Very friendly staff. Basic room. Train noise every 5 minutes for much of the day and night so wouldn’t recommend for light sleepers.. .

Value for money. Convenient hotel with well appointed rooms for a very reasonable rate. The downsides are that the bathrooms are small and that there is a regular rumble from trains on lower floors during running times.. .

. Proximity to Gare de l'Est was very convenient for access to different parts of Paris. Rue St. Denis had a lot of great restaurants and was a short walk away. We would definitely stay here again. . .

An exceptional gem in the centre of Paris. An exceptional, well presented and comfortable hotel. Cleaned daily and with excellent facilities. Highly recommended for a short stay in Paris.
Across the road from the Gare de l’Est or only 30-45 min walk from Opera or Notre Dame. Good selection of shops and supermarkets on the street. Bakery opposite is excellent too.. .

Noise issues. Stayed here because I needed easy, early morning proximity to Gare du Nord. It's a quick walk to there, and in fact even closer to Gare de l'Est.
The location was good, the neighborhood was fine. I always felt safe. The hotel was clean.
I live in NYC. I thought I was immune to street noise.
HOWEVER. My hotel was on the first floor (in the US that = 2nd floor). I looked directly onto the street, and as it turns out onto a bus stop. At all hours of the night, people walking by and waiting at the bus stop might as well have been standing in my room. It was that loud with the windows closed. If that isn't bad enough, on the lower level of the hotel the metro running directly under the hotel can be heard (at felt) at 5-minute intervals between 5 am and 1 am. Noise cancelling headphones help, but sleep will be difficult until 1 am.
Otherwise... Room is comfortable. Has a safe, shampoo, soap, and hair dryer.
Would not stay here again.. .
