Could keep up on the facilities, a 4 stars hotel without hot shower is mental. Other than that, everything is 👍. Perfect Location for Le Bon Marche. We stayed for 3nights. The first two nights were fine. However, there were no hot water on our last day of stay. The water was so cold in March, we even got mild flu after the shower. Apparently, the water came right after we check out.. .

Great location - poorly managed. I was fortunate enough to spend time in Paris with family recently. Based on a recommendation, we booked accommodation at the Hotel De Suede, Paris. I cannot fault the room, cleanliness or location. However, the attitude and administrative skills of the desk staff and management are another matter. The problems began when booking a week before our stay. Their internal booking management system did not permit our payment, and after numerous emails went back and forth, we were asked to cancel and rebook, which we did. However, despite all the emails, we arrived at the hotel to find they had mixed up our reservation. After much discussion and raised voices (on their part, not ours), we thought the matter was at least partly resolved at check-in. They then proceeded to make mistakes with the agreed-upon solution! By Day 2, the manager admitted their mistake, blaming night staff, etc., for the second set of errors. Determined not to let this derail our stay but fed up with trying to resolve the situation, we gave up and, as a result, were hundreds of Euros out of pocket. Interestingly, I observed another guest questioning errors in her reservation, who also seemed very underwhelmed by the staff's response to her questions about charges, etc. We loved Paris, but under the current management and administration staff, we would not recommend the Hotel De Suede.. .

Clean, central but soulless.. The bed was comfortable and nice quiet location which was very central. Room was clean and good storage!. Hotel was quite soulless. Some Staff could have been more engaging/friendly. Lack of toiletries in bathroom and shower over bath which was high and narrow to get in and out! Would’ve been impossible for an older person! Paper cups in rooms leak and no breakfast tea available!.

Very dissatisfied and disappointed experience.. I usually wait to leave the premise before writing a review, but I couldn’t wait for this one. I am, according to Trip Advisor, one of the top 1% reviewers in Canada. I have been writing reviews since 2012, and as far as I remember, I have only given low scores to 1 restaurant for its less than standard service. If you are reading this, you care about where you stay outside your home. Let’s start with the positives. The hotel is in a great location and the rooms are modern and ‘semi comfortable’. Bathroom is modern and spacious for European standards. (Caveat here: I have to say the pillows are hard and hot.) However, and this is where the negatives starts. There are a few flaws that are critical when it comes to guest service. Understanding it is October when the climate fluctuates, having air conditioning is essential. I actually picked this hotel because they offered air conditioning, but I found it is not the case. Some of the days have been ‘cool’ but not cold. However, the only option I have is turning the heat on. If I turn it off then the room gets hot and very stuffy without any air circulation. If I open the windows (as it is suggested by the hotel), then the room is filled with mosquitoes, noise, and the eventual cigarette smoke from people smoking outside. As an asthmatic, I have not been able to sleep well the last three nights and I still have 4 nights to go. The answer to the mosquitoes is that they will provide a plug-in (and who knows what chemical fume you will inhale as well) to keep the mosquitoes away. Note that I did get the plug-in and the mosquitoes are still feasting on me (see pictures). If you call reception, the answer is simple. ‘no’ to whatever request you have. On top of all, during the weekend we had another ‘non, ce n’est pas possible’ from the receptionists. I wanted to take a bath, and there was no plug in the bathtub I could use to fill the tub. I called the receptionist, and the answer was, if there is none, then you don’t have the option to bathe even though they provide bath salts for you to use. It seems that regardless of the problem, the answer is always ‘live with it’. And I am very nice writing this as the tone (specially from the receptionist of Saturday Oct 19 morning) was very condescending and rude. I am not sure how the ratings of hotels is in France, but in the rest of the world comes with the facilities, what is offered to the guests, and the services. This hotel seems to be more like a B&B in terms of service than a proper hotel. I will update the review if anything changes, but I am very dissatisfied and disappointed. I am trying not to let this hotel ruin my experience in Paris, but it is hard. My recommendation is for you to look at another hotel that may have better customer service. Not worth the risk.. .

Excellent, great value small hotel in the 7th arrondisement. I recently stayed 3 nights in this charming small hotel in the 7th Arrondisement, home of the Tour Eiffel, Hôtel des Invalides and the Champ de Mars . I thoroughly recommend you stay here. I chose a duplex, single room which while compact worked well over two floors with a spiral staircase which connects the lower room, with its single bed to the upper area with a WC and shower, and a small seating area with a desk. I would not recommend this room for anyone with mobility problems as the spiral staircase has a tight climb / descent. The shower facilities were excellent. Do ask for the “plateau de courtoisie” ( courtesy tray ) giving you Nespresso coffee, tea bags etc. The small dining area is freshly decorated, comfortable and the breakfast fare was plentiful, varied and tasty including fresh yogurt and fruit jars, fresh pancakes, abundant French pastries, cold meats and cheeses and various breads. An automatic coffee making machine turns out the expected coffee options quickly. I used the small salon seated area to sit and relax in, when reading and found the seating very comfortable. The hotel staff were helpful and polite. While I would not want this to detract from my overall highly positive experience I was surprised to find being expected to pay my full anticipated bill when I checked in rather than on checking out! A completely unexpected bonus entailed my room in the 5th floor overlooking the attractive garden of Hotel Matignon, the official Residence of the French Prime Minister.. .

It was nice and staff was nice.. The property had a nice staff and was overall clean.. The listing said breakfast was included but we had to pay €18 for each of our breakfast. Also the hotel a certain smell to it, it wasn’t too bad but you can definitely smell it..

Relaxing stay, close to everything but on a very quiet street. Beautiful staircase and garden views.. We loved the provided bottles of water everyday.. .
