. Had to leave hotel to get a coffee- no tea/coffee making facilities - no bar.Breakfast , took 30 minutes for poached eggs and 15 minutes for cold hard toast. ( in fairness without our raising it no extra charge was made for cooked
items )Generally a tired feel to the hotel and not worth a 4 star rating although staff were pleasant . . .

Xavi at the front desk, an amazing employee!!. Xavi who works at the front desk, is a great host! Friendly and attentive. I booked a reservation at two places. I went to check out the hotel a few days prior to make up my mind and Xavi went out of his way to show us all the accommodations. It made a difference that lead me to decide to stay at The Derby. .

Helpful and attentive staff. Absolutely amazing! The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful! We felt right at home. The staff helped us by giving suggestions and reviewing a map of the city which was so helpful! This hotel and their staff was truly one of the highlights of our Barcelona trip!. .

Great service, good location, rooms tired.. Booked for 3 nights. location 3 stops to centre, approx 20mins. 7mins walk to metro, neighborhood was great we got in to the hotel late and always felt safe. Rooms could do with a makeover and more facilities could be added but customer service was top notch staff couldn't do more. One major disadvantage was the TV was old and no English channels which was a big no no for us and would probably stop us staying here but if that doesn't bother you then worth giving this hotel a go.. .
