Surpassed expectations-a memorable stay. The hotel's location is excellent. It is situated within walking distance of iconic landmarks such as the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill. The surrounding neighbourhood offered a strong mix of stylish cafes and restaurants and excellent access to public transport (a tram stop is located virtually outside the hotel and the Colosseo metro station is a 6/7 minutes walk away while the Manzoni metro stop is about 5 mins away by tram)
The room we stayed in was spacious, airy and well--presented with a large, modern bedroom. The room was impeccably clean on arrival and the standard of daily cleaning was excellent.
The service at the Mercure was exceptional. The breakfast was excellent and offered a rich variety of options. The reception and breakfast area staff were consistently friendly, helpful, and always worked to ensure our stay was memorable. A special word of thanks to Monia on reception for her help.
Should we return to Rome, we would definitely choose to stay in this hotel again.. .

Great location. Great location, with easy access to the Colessum and onwards to the other sites.
The Room was looking a bit tired but overall great for just a resting up before being out seeing the Attractions.
Breakfast had a basic choice for cooked option with just scrambled egg, bacon and a choice of Sausage available. Great selection of pastries but a lack of fresh fruit to choose from.
Staff were friendly and really accommodating to our late check out request.. .

Staff are Great. Marco from the bar and all the housekeeping staff were beyond helpful, just loved staying here! The hotel is super close to shops and restaurants, it’s across a historic Catholic basilica, and seamless check-in process. Also, Wifi did the job for this work trip.. .

when you have business close to Colosseum it is a great location.. location. The Hotel is really “tired” - worn out. Hard to understand that it has kept its 4 stars. superficial cleaning all over. Breakfast buffet presents a pretty good variety but the bacon is burned the scrambled eggs looks not very appetizing, everything is put on display but just not very loved for! It is the attitude in all in the hotel. Attitudes like “we are here because it is our job and we wish to get it over with fast” - it is kind of sloppy. Some refurbishing ( wall paint or wash) some better cleaning and some more awakedness from the staff would improve the place..
