Family reunion in Paris. The area was lovely, with a nice restaurant just around the corner. Close to everything.. There was nothing I didn't like..

Good. A small hotell with a good price quality ratio. The room was clean and comfortable, there were towels, soap, shampoo, shower gel and the body/hand lotion. There was also a nespresso coffee machine but I think the capsules cost extra.. The hotel blocks 50 euros from the card just in case upon arrival that they unblocked quite quickly.
They also contacted me 5 days before the reservation asking for credit card details or they will cancel the reservation. I guess they didn't know that I should pay upon arrival and it is the reservation conditions via booking, they didn't cancel the reservation in the end, but it was still kind of unexpected and I had to contact booking for support.
There was a very strong chemical smell when I checked in, I think it is either laundry detergent or cleaning products, I really didn't like it. I heard my neighbours a bit, but mostly when they entered or left the room..

Romantic quirky stay in Paris. Great location - quiet and close to the metro, near a pretty park and plenty of cafés/nice restaurants. Quirky themed rooms, clean, comfortable and great value for money - 2 nights here cost less than 1 night in London. Staff were friendly and responsive. Free afternoon tea facilities in reception each day. We would absolutely book to stay here again if visiting Paris - bravo!. We had requested a specific room type (cards) but were not given either of our top two choices on arrival, despite our first choice being available and were told that it was an extra cost (it wasn't). However, this was quickly rectified and we were able to change rooms straight away. A €50 deposit was taken from our bank account and we did not receive it back until 30 days after our stay - usually this is just a pending charge and not actually taken..
