Turkish Airlines layover. We were there because of the Turkish Airlines layover. It was the worst experience of our vacation. The airlines gave the worst hotel for us. Cannot undrestand this behavior. There was about 10 of us from different flights. The hotel is 1 hour drive from airport (traffic). It cannot be 5 stars, it is 3 *** at most.
The room was dirty and cold.
They did not have pillows for extra bed nor the covers for blanket.
There was no international TV channels.. .

Short hotel stay. Good hotel but far from Istanbul city. Stopped by this hotel for a few hours due to an istanbul layover. Hotel room was good and clean and comfortable. Lunch was basic. It's very very far from tourist areas, at least a 1.5 hour drive. Not worth it if you are planning to see touristy places in Sultanahmet or Taksim.. .

Don’t miss your flight….. I get the impression you only end up here if you miss your flight, and Turkish Airlines places you here.
More out of necessity and need than pleasure.
Having said that, it may be no thrills but it does the job, it’s clean, functional and comfortable.. .
