Location! Laundry!. I stayed here for four days and was very happy with my stay.
First of all, the location is fantastic. The hotel is surrounded by restaurants and shops. The subway and trams are a very short distance away and connect you to everything.
The rooms are small - to be expected - but clean, and the are heat pumps in reach room. The Internet is a little slow but not bad. There was a fridge in my room and a hair dryer. Oh, and a safe.
The breakfast is not top shelf but it'll get you started with coffee, fruit, cereal, yogurt, eggs, pomegranate juice, etc. There was even French toast one day. The eating area is on the sixth floor and offers a not-terrible view. Not great though, but the seagulls really like hanging out there.
The laundry service was ridiculously fast. We checked in at about 1 PM and our laundry was delivered to our room before we turned in for the night.
The bed was comfortable but the queen bed had a blanket that was too small for two people. They brought us an extra one.
The only reason I'm giving the Centrum four out of five is that if people are talking in the hallway, you can hear what they are saying. It can be loud depending on your neighbours. Bring earplugs.. .

Hotel Centrum Istanbul. The hotel is located at a convenient place, about 5 minutes walk from Sirkesi & Gulhane tram stations & 10-15 minutes walk to Blue mosque, Topakapi palace, Hippodrome, cisterns & Hagia Sophia. Good breakfast, quite clean rooms. However the rooms towards the street get lot of noise from young tourists at adjoining restaraunts who keep singing & dancing in the streets upto 1-2 AM.. .

Two stars at the most. I was with a group, so I had no choice for the hotel. Not a good choice. The only plus is it’s location: the hotel is near all the attractions within walking distance. Beside that, it was a very poor choice: minuscule rooms with an even smaller washroom. This latter being filthy: stained toilet, molded joints in the very small shower, dust in every corner of the washroom ( dust and hairs). Same with the room itself.
The bed was good as well the wifi. It was a cramped room with little space to move. Very disappointed. For the same price, there are a lot oh hotels around. The breakfast was minimalist. Good but limited choice. I do not recommend this hotel.. .

Centrum hotel stay. The stay was good. Area is very good. Walking distance to most places. Breakfast is good. Only problem is they do not have an iron to use just to iron sone clothes. It is so cheap dont know why they dont get one. Only other issue is that they do not have a late check out option. If needing to check out later than 12 then need to pay for full day extra. Other places I have been have like a half day payment for late check outs. But all in all a good hotel. Will stay again.. .

Centrum Hotel-Touristy Neighbourhood-Rude Staff. While this hotel is reasonably well located in Istanbul's Sultanhamet, the neighbourhood is too touristy, full of touts and carnival barker waiters eager to pull you in to dine at their restaurants. We spent our last night here because the hotel we wanted was fully booked. As we had stayed here 4 previous nights, we noted a curious discrepancy in our treatment. When we arrived on 13 May for 2 nights, the desk clerks treated as rudely with short, curt replies. During our six weeks in Turkey we never experienced such obnoxious service even though we stayed in countless hotels night after night. On our third day at the Centrum this cold, frosty behaviour abruptly stopped when staff learned that we were part of a 21-day GAP tour. The hypocrisy was almost amusing. Our conclusion? The Centrum lies heavily on big tour groups like GAP. If you book online off the internet, watch out! During our last night 4 June we were well treated on account of the GAP connection. No, I shall never stay at the Centrum unless I'm part of a tour group. Would I recommend this hotel? Definitely not!. .
