4* mental hospital. This hotel is absolutely horrible. We stayed here for 2 nights as a part of group trip in Rome. The first negative thing is the location, it’s so far from metro, and the outsude didn’t look the best either. Hotel looks very old and horror like. The rooms are sterile, I felt like I’m in a mental hospital. Bathrooms are poor and old, shower was quite dirty, but not from the immediate use, but more for not proper cleaning in a long long time. As we arrived, we didn’t even get a new toilet paper and they left us with on small already used before. Beds were fortunetaly not dirty (thank god!), but as it was old, it was extremely noisy and not so comfy either. Overall, room was bad. We had breakfast as well, and it was the worst one ever - the food was not even tasty, coffee was horrible, ugh. Just don’t go there, book something better for your own good. I give 2/5 just because I didn’t see any insect friends (I hope) and because at least beds and towels seemed clean. How can this place be 4* hotel???. .

Theft and liars. I was a guest at the hotel for the last 3 with 120 students and I’m one of the teachers. The second morning, I discovered that my make-up had been stolen, which was very inconvenient and upsetting. I went to the front desk to report this. The lady at the front desk assumed that I was one of the students and replied in a way that seemed very indifferent and careless. She stated the students' rooms were all messy and I probably lost it in my mess. When I told her I was a teacher, she said that my roommate probably took it. This alone is a very inapropriate remark. The fact that my expensive make-up was stolen, did not seem to bother her. That was the end of that conversation, since she stopped replying to my complaint. The conversation was very difficult because her English wasn’t that good. When I addressed the problem again the next day, she told me that it couldn’t have been the cleaning lady because they didn’t clean my room. This was a weird comment because my bed was made and my colleague was at the hotel the whole day and she had seen the cleaning lady in my room. The lady at the front desk said that this wasn’t possible because they didn’t have access to my room because I had the key with me all day and there wasn’t a spare key. She was basically telling me that I was lying. I showed her my key and pointed at the shelves behind her that the spare key was there. She was perplexed. I also assume that a cleaning lady always has a master key. The lady at the front desk couldn’t find any more excuses. I ended the conversation with telling her that I would write a bad review and I would let our travel agent know that I didn’t recommend the hotel to my school. I have been treated with disrespect. You can’t tell your guest that they are liars. I had hoped this incident would be taken seriously and investigated or that I would be compensated. Which didn’t happen.. .

Rather to be avoided. Organised Rome trip with a travel agency. 3 nights with my family. On the positive aspects: this is a quiet place, good to sleep, comfortable beds. Lidl supermarket short walk away. On the negatives: absolute joke of a breakfast. Only couple of pastries. Coffee machine with some coffee-like chemical brew. Disgraceful. Staff is rude and speaks no English whatsoever.. .
