Beautiful hotel, centrally located, but declining maintenance and service. Beautiful hotel centrally located in Rome. Nice plentiful breakfast and staff. Marvelous views from the rooftop. Friendly birds. But... no coffee available during the day. Room was in poor repair and housekeeping not thorough. Only one room key available. WiFi spotty in time and place. Make sure you confirm the view from your room in advance. The front looks out on Parliament building and the back looks into the neighbors. Also, the back is very noisy. The bartender Olga is a standout. Lounge seats in the square and lobby are uncomfortable. Bring your own face cloths. Ask for extra hangars and TP.. .

Incredible stay, love the location and proximity to everywhere where you want to go and see.. The location was unbeatable, 150 meters approximately from Fontane Di Trevi & Pantheon, approximately 7 minutes walking distance from Vittorio Emannuel Monument and maybe 20 minutes from Collosseum walking distance.
The staff was very friendly and helpful, for both breakfast and at the reception as well as the cleaners were always very pleasant.
The room was a good size, if you like to sleep in, the windows are dark enough when closed to keep the room cozy and dark.. The breakfast was okay at best, every day was the same, couple of cold cuts like ham, mortadella, prosciutto, pork neck etc.., scrambled eggs, yogurths, coffee machine, black coffee and juices.. It wasn't bad overall but maybe was expecting a bit more variety.
The room was good size, clean, the cleaner would come to room every day to change sheets, re fill shampoos and provide new towels, and it was a good service. If I had to point at two things - the windows, altough close, are not very sound proof and you can hear morning deliveries, garbage trucks and people talking, laughing etc... Not unexpected considering the age of the hotel, windows and central location, so I am not trying to complain.. but just pointing it out! But the windows are great for blocking the light to come in if you are looking to sleep in, and it really helps with leaving the room as dark as you want, as long as you want...

Probably the best located 4 star hotel in Rome.. This is our 4th visit and stay at Colona Palace over the past 12 years. We keep coming back mainly for its central location. Almost all key attractions are within walking distance. Location is the safest. Its in front of the Italian parliament with full police presence 24x7. Staff are professional and courteous. On the negative, the lift goes up to 6th floor only and breakfast is on 7th slightly difficult if you have aging knees like ours. Another negative is having no coffee / tea making facilities in rooms. We would have loved a hot cup of tea as soon as we return after a long walk. Ordering tea drom bar is not the same.. .

Pleasant. Great location, the sights are close to the hotel. Nice view from the room. They have amazing place for breakfast on the roof.. The hotel is old, room is big and spacious, but have unpleasant smell. There is no towels for face and hands and we got some dirty kind of cloth. At the night is noisy..

Good breakfast coffee on request.. The breakfast was simple, without any vegetable.
