Excellent hotel!. My dad and I recently stayed here for 5 nights. Here's what I loved:
The family who owns the hotel was incredible. Some of them are outgoing, some are more reserved, but all were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
We had the family suite, which was very spacious. 2 large bedrooms, each with a king bed, closet, desk, and window that opened up overlooking the street. One room also had a couch. The main room had a dining table and chairs.
Cleanliness and housekeeping service were top notch.
Location was perfect for us - easy walking distance to all the big sights (Vatican was the farthest with a 40-45 min walk) but removed from the very touristy areas. The neighborhood was fairly quiet at night.
There were some good options for eating close by. Several coffee shops that were good for breakfast and some great restaurants for dinner.
At our request, they arranged for a driver to pick us up at the airport and take us back when we were departing. This worked perfectly for us.
Excellent communication before our stay. I sent a few emails with questions, and I always got a speedy and helpful response.
In my opinion, this hotel was excellent value. Very reasonable cost for a huge 2 bedroom suite.
There is nothing that I didn't like about this hotel, and I wish I could give it more than 5 stars. Overall an awesome experience!. .

. It is a family owned property. The owner was incredibly helpful with restaurant recommendations, ordering taxi/limo service and general info of the neighbourhood. We appreciated it was walkable to main attractions.

. Hotel Golden is in the perfect location when visiting Rome! It’s a 15 minute walk to Trevi and the other major sites, but far enough out that you can avoid the massive crowds. There are numerous options to dine, literally right out the front door! However, contrary to Expedia’s description the hotel does not have laundry services or its own restaurant. We felt very safe at Hotel Golden. It is a family run business and the family resides on property. . .
