A Pre Christmas retreat. The staff were amazing. So helpful. Couldn’t do enough for us. Very kind. The room was very clean as well as being very central too. The breakfasts were fantastic too. Something different each day if you wanted it. The chef was a lovely chap who was friendly, interesting and obviously loved cooking.. .

I would not book again due to small size and dishonest restaurant recommendation. The welcome and check in were very good, a friendly young man provided an efficient and informative check in.
The room and elevator are small (as described by other guest reviews). The room was so small (even for Italian standards!) that it was impractical to have two open suitcases at the same time (one blocked the bathroom entrance). However, the room was clean and was surprisingly quiet considering we were on a busy street.
The breakfast was adequate and provided a good variety, even though some of the fresh fruit was already spoiled. It was nice that we could order a drink upon returning from dinner.
Unfortunately, the hotel recommended a nearby restaurant which was terrible and expensive (Ristorante il Nipotino del Solitario) - a real tourist trap. I have learned that I would never listen to the employees with restaurant recommendations - this is not in the guest best interest. Based on this poor advice (which is evidently required by the manager) I can not recommend this hotel, even though it is a fair value in Rome.. .

Hotel Amalfi Great Location. The location of hotel was wonderful; very close to the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore and the Termini Train Station. The staff was extremely kind, attentive, and very helpful. Accommodations were comfortable and hotel was surrounded by great restaurants and shopping.. .
