Everything is great. I really liked the room, very cozy, big mirror, There is a popular pastry chef near the hotel, at least 5 minutes away, and a convenient interchange. .

A decent city Hotel. The hotel had friendly staff, and it has a really nice and warm vibe. The interiors are not polished and the walls had some scruffs, but that gives it its chic look. You would most likely get the very best from the place if travelling alone or as a couple, as the rooms are beyond cosy! The lift can just about carry two people We reserved the privilege room with a cot as it was me and my husband travelling with our 2 year old daughter. The room was very modest in size. We had to fold our pram and just about managed to fit in our large suitcase. Navigating the room with the 3 of us was a bit of a challenge to say the least, as it is always awkward getting ready. That said, the room is clean and we have a lovely view of the overlooking street. The biggest gripe with the place is the shower. You essentially need to hold it, as the way it is situated is not hanging overhead, but directly in front of you (which is weird). If you leave it that way, the water gets everywhere. We has to use a couple of towels to dry the floor which is a waste. The flow of the water won’t be everyone’s cup of tea. I personally didn’t mind it, but can see why it would annoy people as it feels like mist spray rather than a steady stream of water. The breakfast was a usual affair in that it was continental with cold cuts. There were no hot foods such as porridge. Location wise - it is a little out of central Paris, but you have two metros within walking distance which were Wagram and Pont Cardinet. A tip for parents - you are are better off going to Pont Cardinet as it is one of the few metros in Paris to have a lift and escalators. As far a 3 star city hotels go, Hotel Gaston ticks all the boxes. And for the value that you are paying for a night, it is worth it. However for families - even when travelling with under 2, definitely order a triple room. Even if they say a double room can fit a cot, it is one mighty squeeze.. .

Bookings not reliable. Didn’t stay as hotel canceled the reservation with no explanation and just an apology. It was a booking directly with the property. If they think they can charge more than the posted rate they will cancel on you. Beware when booking during popular times.. .

Very good. The staff were fantastic and really helpful. Great location too. The bed was comfy and the room was clean.. The room is very basic but functional. No coffee or tea etc.

A great hotel made even better by lovely staff.. This is a really lovely hotel, with fantastic staff. We went in a big group to celebrate a friend's birthday and nothing was too much trouble. All our different questions and requests were dealt with efficiently and with kindness. We were made to feel very welcome. The rooms are on the small side, but very comfortable, with lovely beds and pillows. The bathrooms are clean with plenty of towels and hot water. The continental breakfast was delicious, with croissants, pain au chocolat and choices of cold meat and cheese. Although there is not a restaurant or bar, you can buy hot and cold drinks from reception. The location is very convenient, with two metro stations within ten minutes' walk. The area is quiet, with some lovely local shops tucked just behind the hotel. We felt perfectly safe popping out alone for a wander. Overall, a great hotel and outstanding staff. Thank you so much for making our stay special. . .

Spoilt the stay by one staff who was in charge for night duty on 21/12/2024. Good location. Staff was not having clear idea about the policies.
