Exceptional, the staff were so friendly provided lovely recommendations to restaurants. The hotel is something different. We stayed in early March, the hotel was easy to find, greeted by a lovely man who checked us in, showed us to our room and showed us how everything worked in the room. The fridge was packed with all types of food, plenty of fresh fruit, pastries and bread.
The hotel was within walking distance to everything we wanted to get to, Vatican being a bit longer but absolutely no issues. Have recommended the hotel to many friends if they visit Rome, Hotel Barrett is a must to stay in.. .

Perfect Rome experience- location, friendly, clean and excellent provisions.. Perfect central location for walking to all main sites. All staff so welcoming. The food (although processed) was just a brilliant way to provide breakfast or use for lunch/dinner if wanted. Since all including kettle and coffee pods maker just so handy for early starts. Was given complimentary wine on arrival and also fresh cakes on second night. On leaving given pasta to take home but so unfortunate to not have room in our rucksack for it. Rooms so clean. Shower amazing!! Free toiletries also so if coming for 1-2 nights no need to bring. Windows closed no noise. Provided earplugs- could hear other rooms. Not suitable if mobility issues due to stairs. Will definitely come back. Oh- and we had view of ruins. Thank you to all staff, doing great job.. .

Good. Location was ideal for all main attractions. We were quite surprised when we got there that we had to lift a 20kg case up 4 flights of stairs. My back is not good so this was quite uncomfortable..

Hotel or B&B?. Very good position in the center of Rome, near many monumental place. My room was clean but little, only 24h reception is the service of a tipical hotel..about all other it is a b&b. The breakfast is made by yourself in your room, minibar is full but all food is packaged food from supermarket. There isn't that attention to the customer that you would expect in a good quality Italian hotel. .

5 nights in rome. Fabulous quirky hotel. Staff were so friendly and helpful and went the extra mile. The room was stocked daily with food, drinks and toiletries. We were even treated by the Hotel owner to a free dinner at a restaurant close by called restaurant Ana on our last night .
Steps up to hotel and rooms which could cause issues for some but was no issue for us. Location excellent and within walking distance of all major attractions. We didn't use public transport or taxis during our stay except to and from airport.
Rooms compact. We would definitely highly recommend and stay again .. .

Bellissima!!!. It's one of my favourite hotels ever,
I have now stayed twice, and the hotel is in the PERFECT location. It is in the very heart of Rome, everything is so walkable, it is close to the tourist hop on hop off buses too, the stunning temples of the largo di torre Argentina is the most beautiful view from the rooms. There are fabulous hotels nearby that serve the most amazing classic Italian food and cocktails. The pantheon is a 5-minute walk away, the coliseum is a 15-20 minute walk, the Vatican is a 25-minute walk.
The hotel it's self is the most beautiful cluttered mishmash and I mean that in the BEST way, there is 4 flights of stairs which can be hard for the unfit or infirm, plus more steps inside depending of where your room is situated. The rooms are compact but pack a lot into their 4 walls. The beds are a standard double, but unfortunately, the only gripe I have with the beds is a lack of proper duvet covers. It's very inconvenient as in the morning you have 3 different coveres tangled around you. I would suggest investing in prover duvet covers. The rooms also pack in a lot of complimentary snacks and drinks literally whenever you luke, there is a toaster oven, coffee machine, milk warmer, AND a toaster for hot dogs which I thought was absolutely hilarious! It can feel a little over packed at times but it's really so quirky I love it, the bathrooms are interesting, the showers are great and the sinks are big, the toilets are a strange shape almost like a vase...? There are also European style bidets which again, are not really needed and just take up a lot of the limited space... the room comes set up with a massage machine attached to a comfy chair in the room, too, which after a long day of standing and walking was a really nice touch! The hotel was also a great price costing me arpund €530 for 3 nights including the mandatory €6 per person per night city tax, but it does state that you need to pay it on the booking sites.
Overall, I had another really amazing stay and would not choose anywhere else to stay if I come back to rome again. It's a gem, one that I'm sure everyone will enjoy if they choose to stay. The staff are all so lovely and helpful, and the location is second to none! Everyone who heads to rome should be staying at Hotel Barrett!!!! . .

questions were answered as quick as possible. Maybe they were short of staff or grumpy staff. location. more friendly and relaxed service.
