Old and dirty,nothing like the photos. We liked the fact that the staff allowed us to leave our luggage for a few hours after checkout. We arrived around 11 pm and we found the room dirty,the carpet hadn't been hovered for a long time. There was a thick layer of dust on the furniture. We didn't have blankets in the first night and it was very cold in the room and the A/C wasn't working and the radiator was cold as well. We shivered the whole night covered wirh two bed sheets. The room looked nothing like the photos of the hotel when we booked it. The beds were old and matress was hard and uncomfortable and pillows very old as well. The smell in the room was strong and the bathroom was disgusting. They gave us 2 old and dirty blankets the following night but have never hovered the room or dusted it all the while we were there for 4 days. The building was hard to get into as the rooms are on the 5th floor in a mixt building ,and we had to ring two separate entries and wait for a long time for the reception to open ,every time we came back in the hotel. The room view was depressing. We tried to spend as little time as possible inside because we came to visit the city.

Highly recommended, would happily stay here again!. Absolutely everything at Hotel Garda was wonderful. Very friendly, helpful staff. Clean, spacious rooms in a character building. Great location, close to the metro, park, shops & restaurants. Would easily stay here again!. Nothing..

Best staff, great value. The staff is excelent. The lady in the reception (forgot to ask your name, sorry about that) was so nice and helpful during all our stay. Room was spacious, even for three persons.. Wifi worked slowly at first, but they fixed it..

Definitely I'll stay here next time I'll be travel alone.. The location and the price is amazing. Also the staff was very polite and open for communication. The building where the hotel is located is very nice and authentic. It was very helpful to see the real photo of my room after the reservation, so I didn't have underexpectation or wasn't dissapointed. The room was small. but I expect that. Despite there was no bracfast, near it was a nice caffe with very nice people who was very kind.. The noise in the hallway and the conversations were quite loud, I heard them all. Also, for 2 nights I had to sleep with headphones on because someone was snoring in the next room..

Lovely staff & Location but below standard. I had visited with an open mind after reading reviews. We didnt need luxury in Rome as you spend all day exploring the amazing city. We did however expect the basics which were missing. Firstly the staff at the hotel were all lovely and helpful. The location is amazing and central to everywhere. The hotel itself needs a lot of work. The room was below basic, tiny and uncomfortable. The air condition did work but was super noisy. The shower didn't even attach to the wall so you had to stand and hold the shower head to wash. When you lift it to shoulder level it turns off. We couldn't even get a drink of water for 2 days as they had ran out and when we were leaving they actually tried to charge us for drinking water. We had booked bed and breakfast and on arrival to breakfast (which they were not expecting us) the option was a coffee and a pre packed pastry. There was no continental breakfast, choice or basically anything. They said they used to have a selection pre covid but nothing since. We didn't bother going back for breakfast after that. We did ask for a coffee one morning and we were told the coffee machine wasn't working. Even a few bottles of water in the room would have been fab but there was literally nothing. The place was clean but the shower doors have seen better days and the place desperately needs a re vamp.. .

It’s a place to sleep if you can’t find something else - would not recommend.. Looks nothing like the pictures. Would be a bad Motel 6 in the US. - Staff was friendly but facility is of poor quality and cost half again as much as the nicer hotel we moved to the next day. Only stayed here because I had made an error in booking our main hotel and needed a place to spend the night before checking in there. Another guest said his room also looked nothing like the pictures and he was moving to another hotel the next day as well.. .
