. On la rambla and around the corner from pala quell. Older hotel so not 5 star but clean and adequate. Included breakfast was cold cuts and breads and coffees and juice Again good price. Had Wi-Fi and luggage storage . .

. I was hoping to enjoy the ambience of The Ramblas... and so I chose this hotel to stay in... Great location for exploring this part of Barcelona.. I was disappointed with the check-in experience... not sure if this is everyday... or just the day that I checked in ... but many of us waited over an hour ..to be told our rooms were ready... The room was delightful. The style of the rooms was simple, clean and modern, while the lobby and restaurant had an old world charm... I spent a week there. I had a terrace off the room that faced the South... and gave a view of the rooftop of Gaudi's Palau Güell (Güell Palace)... The sunsets were great. The maid service was very good. The breakfast typical Spanish, and was busy ..and very good also. I had wished that the room had a hot water kettle... I like tea first thing each morning. The refrigerator worked well. No microwave... All of the staff were friendly and helpful... Many of the other guests were from all over the world... I would recommend this hotel to anyone.... .

. Ramblas is an old hotel and requires a lot of remodeling. The tiles on the floor are ripped and cracked .Every time when guests in next to our room had shower, we could hear the sound of running water. We could hear noise from elevator, from people talking in the hall. Breakfast was terrible. Only one coffee was working. The best part of the hotel is great and very convenient location. You can walk to lot of major points of interest. . .

Rambling on the Ramblas. Location is 5*. Hotel is old and beyond dated but it was a perfect place for us to stay. It was convenient to all forms of transportation and shopping. The beds are extremely hard and there are no toppers to soften the blow. Rooms are not handicapped accessible. Stairs to get to the ample breakfast buffet are difficult. There are no usb ports in the rooms. This is a basic amenity. No grab bars in showers. Toiletries offered are of the cheapest quality. Towels are old and thin. No washcloths either. No tissue boxes in the room had to purchase at the grocery store. A/C runs very cold. Difficult to adjust. Mirror for makeup is set too high for short people. Check in was a nightmare. Not enough staff to work it out. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Lots of police presence on the streets to help you feel safe. . .
