Worst place i have ever srayed.. NOTHING!!!!. 1. 'Room' in hotel where, as arranged, I arrived very late (23h) turned out to be a large 'space' with separate entrance & quirky lock, opening directly onto a very busy nightlife street. It felt very insecure - even to this well- seasoned unflappable traveller. Receptionist assured me that it was a 'quiet' area and that 'there are cameras'.. Only because of severe exhaustion did I manage to sleep til daylight. Both my daughter, who had helped me bring bags to the hotel, and I reckoned that this space was probably a cheap employee/night porter accommodation option. This would have made sense of - amongst a total dearth of other furnitue/fittings - the presence of a fridge! (photo evidence) 2. Reception felt shady & flaky...first checking and telling me that there was a problem with the room upstairs where I had been meant to stay, then bringing me to the space described above.. 3. Exposed wires surrounded the television which did not appear to work..(photo evidence) 4. No towels. I was lucky that I happened to have one with me (photo evidence). Receptionist, next a.m told me thst I should have ASKED for one! In a hotel??? ... which, at midnight, would have required me to dress again and step out onto the street - from a room whose dodgy lock I was not confident of managing to open and close. 5. Bathroom was sparse & minimal: on taking a shower in the a.m, the whole bathroom - reaching well towards the bedroon - was filled with water 1 cm deep (photo & video evidence) 6. Paint & damp stains throughout. (photo evidence) 6. Stained pillowcase (photo evidence) 7.Unswept floor (video evidence).

Good for the location but poor conditions.. The position was really good. The rooms were in poor conditions: the walls were dirty and especially in room 13 there was mold next to the window. In the bathroom there were no towels..

Bad. Location. Everything. Do you know the choise game where you need to choose either to fix the window or to upgrade the walls? So it looked like from a horror movie. Smell was terrible. At the beginning I thought it was fresh painting but it was mold smell actually. It is unhealthy conditions to stay there..

And the award for the World’s Worst Hotel goes to….. I knew this place would be bad when I booked it… but dear oh dear, it plumbs some depths… I booked it last minute when I got a late place for the Paris marathon, and all other hotels were full. So I knew it would be less than ideal, particularly after reading other reviews. It’s an absolute shocker though. It feels almost deliberately bad. Like someone’s gone out of their way to make it unpleasant. The room has mould on the walls, the “en-suite” seems to be made out of plywood, perched in the corner of the room. The bedding is dirty, and I think I can hear people screaming. It’s a bit like that place they stay in towards the start of the film, The Beach. Remember; I make these mistakes so you don’t have to. Don’t stay here. Unless being sponsored to do so for charity.. .
