#1 for a reason!. Usually I stay at Marriott properties, but I used some points from a different card to book this stay. It has me questioning my loyalty to Marriott and wanting to explore my options more after our amazing stay at this hotel. We absolutely fell in love with Barcelona and The Mercer on our short 3 night stay. I would move in if I could! Its location is amazing, tucked deep into the Gothic neighborhood, if you aren't paying attention you may just walk by it. The staff was incredibly attentive to our needs. They were at the door to open it every time we walked up with a smile. We stayed in a junior suite and it was great. Very spacious with modern amenities and a clever layout. The shower was great and the oversized king bed was so comfortable after long walks exploring the city. We didn't eat dinner at the hotel, but the menu looks fabulous. There's just so many incredible restaurants in the area. We did have breakfast included with our stay, which I would recommend doing if you have the option. The food was very good, with many pastry, fruit, juice, and coffee options, but the price point for breakfast is a little steep if it's not included in your stay. We took advantage of it being included and enjoyed delicious breakfast and coffee drinks every morning. 10/10 I would recommend this hotel, and would absolutely return in the future. The decor, layout, staff, and history made it a truly unique hotel stay experience deserving of the Michelin Key it was awarded.. .

Lovely hotel, pleasant and welcoming staff, beautiful rooftop area lovely, wonderful bar and restaurant…just quite disap. Location and service.. Hotel room wasn’t what was represented by pictures. Going into the hotel room … the bathroom sink area was what you walked right into with sleeping area behind a partition separating areas..

Perfect hotel in the Gothic Quarter.. Perfect location in the Gothic Quarter. It is an easy walk to the majority of visitor sites. The staff is very kind and extremely helpful. Our room was absolutely lovely and equipped with high end amenities. We had wine at the hotel bar and a lovely tapas meal at Le Bouchon.. .

Great location and hotel. The hotel was wonderful, with very comfortable beds, and the best thing about this hotel is the staff. There is no rush, no stress, and an air of ease about the way they serve all the needs of their guests. Also - be sure to enjoy the wonderful Tapas restaurant downstairs - even for room service!. .

Perfect Score!. What a lovely hotel! We were so happy with our decision to stay at Mercer Hotel. Every staff member was so gracious towards us and incredibly helpful every step of the way. There were so many nice touches from a staff member greeting our cab in the nearby plaza and transporting our luggage to our room, to treats being left in the room. Every morning we enjoyed the assortment of food at breakfast. We had tasty tapas in one of the hotel bars and had a fine dining experience with delicious steak and potatoes with truffles at the Mercer Restaurant. The location is perfect for exploring the gothic quarter which has many cute restaurants and stores and historic sites such as the Roman wall. The hotel truly made our stay memorable and they earn a perfect score on hospitality! I have nothing to complain about!. .
