You pay for the location, but it’s not worth it. You can’t fault the location. 5 min walk from metro station. Very convenient. But that’s it - it’s not worth paying the money just for the location. After all, it’s definitely not a 4* hotel!
The size of the room is ok, though as many others have suggested, it needs refurbishment as things are starting to fall apart. For example, the shower floor is wooden deck and when you step on it, it sinks and feels like it’s about to break any minute!
I booked the room weeks ahead, and requested for a room on a higher floor. Guess what I got? A room on the first door, and of course that’s the only room available in the entire hotel. The room was so dark and lacked natural night.
Reception was under staffed. 1 person available at 3pm on a Saturday. There was only 1 person being served in front of us but we ended up waiting for 10 mins before we were checked in. By the time we were done, there were at least 5 other people queuing behind us.
Breakfast was horrible. It’s not a 4* hotel quality at all. The scrambled eggs were cold and solid. Looked like it was sitting there for a long time.
I was so disappointed provided it got decent ratings. I travel to BCN regularly but definitely would not be staying at this hotel again.. .

Great hotel . Amazing location, close to a lot of travel options, a beautiful park and two doors away from a great japanese restaurant. Super friendly and helpful staff. A real home away from home with a great vibe.

. Overall is a nice enough hotel. Not close to many attractions but still walkable if you don’t mind a couple miles one way- which we did not. We chose it because it’s close to train station which worked out nicely. The only real problem was the shower. About every 15 seconds it would turn so hot you must jump away or be scalded. This happened every time we showered. Also any food recommendations seemed to be based on an arrangement with restaurant. Not actually their honest opinion. Staff was polite. . .

Loved the King Size Bed Option. Good hotel for value. Loved that it had a king sized bed option, not often found in Europe.
The area was OK, but super convenient to access Barcelona Sants train station!. .

. Pestana Arena Barcelona is a very strategic hotel if you arrive at Barcelona Sants Station, 5 minutes walking distance and the metro stations at walking distance as well. Around the hotel you’ll find several nice places to eat or just drink a good coffee (stop by Audrey’s Bread and Coffee or Las Empanadas de Papa). Enjoy Barcelona!. .
