Great hotel staff. The staff at Garden House are incredible. Garden House was having an anniversary and providing discounts to guided tours of Istanbul. The nice organizer sat down with us and went over brochures and made recommendations, and then called the companies and booked the tours for us. It was incredibly simple. We booked two tours for the next two days without any hassle. The ladies at the breakfast buffet are incredibly nice and everyone seemed eager to please their guests. The room was fairly large and comfortable, although the bed was SUPER squeaky, which made it difficult to sleep comfortably. We had one of the beds with the rod iron bedframe, if you look through the hotels.com pictures of the rooms.. .

Introduction to Istanbul. The Garden House/Rose Garden Suites intends to give guests a comfortable home base while getting to know Istanbul. It's charming both in design and in location in the old City. We got good advice and help to book an introductory tour. After that, we decided to go on our own, asking them to organize just a couple of transfers, which they did precisely. The staff in the restaurant were especially gracious and friendly. In addition to the wonderful Turkish breakfast each day, we enjoyed good dinners made to order. We got to know several staff members in our week there and felt so much at home we didn't want to leave. The junior suite was a bit smaller than I expected for us (mother and son traveling together) but would be just right for a couple. I do plan to return with other family members.. .

Very poor AC, No Parking and broken Jacuzzi . All I am going to say is that the hotel is advertised incorrectly.
There is no parking option. Paid street parking os the only option and that cost $20 per night - The hotel management absolutely did not care.
The AC broke in our room that was at the top of the building, and the noise and temperature was unbearable - eventually we were moved to a different room.
In both rooms the advertised Jacuzzi bath was not working properly.
For €155 per night this was a disgrace.
If you threw a stone in any direction you would hit 10 other hotel options that I would try before going back again. . .

. In a great location, everything famous about old Istanbul is within a short walk. Each room is unique, and the complimentary breakfast was also very good.
My only complaint was the bathroom smelled like mildew, or dirty water. It was very strong. But after staying in a few other hotels in Turkey, all of which had a slight hint of it, I think it's an issue with Turkish water. Unless you want to pay top dollar, there is a 50/50 chance you'll run into that smell.. .

Turkish Delight!. We stayed at the Rose Garden for three nights, and were EXTREMLY happy. The hotel is a gem, and the staff are very helpful and friendly. The restaurant staff go out of their way to make you feel comfortable, and the food is ever so yummy! Breakfast is our favorite meal and there is a great variety of tasty and healthy variety of food. Their lunch and dinner options are great (try the Manti, a Turkish version of meat ravioli).
The location is approximately a 7 minute walk from the Blue Mosque, and 10 minutes from everything else. There are hotels much closer to the tourist sites, but then way too crowded. The Rose Garden allows you to be in close proximity, but also gives you the peace and quite and relaxation required for a great vacation.
The courtyard was by far our favorite place to be, especially during 3-5pm for the complementary tea, coffee and snacks :-). .
