Oh, and the hotel itself is beautiful and so centrally located.

Not Worth the Price, Very Poor Experience. I was in Barcelona for a 5-day business trip. I had planned to spend the first 3 days at a different hotel and the last 2 days at Olivia Plaza hotel. Despite Olivia Plaza hotel being almost twice as expensive as the previous one, -which was also very centrally located-, the Wi-Fi was not working; all the furniture in the room was worn out, scratched, and damaged. The bed wheels were not fixed, causing the bed to move whenever I lay down. The TV was not functioning because there was no remote control provided.
When I reported these issues to the reception on my first night, I was initially informed that the Wi-Fi service had been turned off and was later activated. I couldn’t understand how a hotel could have its Wi-Fi service turned off in the first place, and I must say that this is far below the service standards expected from a four-star hotel in the center of Barcelona. Although I was later informed that the Wi-Fi was activated, the connection was still extremely unstable and slow, making any form of communication nearly impossible.
When I mentioned that the TV remote control was missing, it was not brought to the room at that moment either. The following morning, the hotel management offered me an upgrade. However, I am not sure how an upgrade could make a difference in a hotel with such an approach to service.
The only positive thing I can say about my stay is that the scrambled eggs served at breakfast were delicious. Upon returning to my country, I informed my company's representative and our travel agency that this hotel should not be booked again for future stays.. .
