Pay attention to 'Turkish upgrade'. Pay attention: Hotel Lalahan consists of two hotels: Lalahan Hotel (nice and clean) and Ilkay Otel (terrible). We bought a package from the Turkish Airlines website that included flight tickets and a hotel stay. We selected Lalahan Hotel. When we arrived, the receptionist told us we had received an upgrade. However, when we entered the room, we found it smelled strongly of mold, the furniture was damaged, and the room was dirty. The smell was especially difficult to tolerate because our son has asthma. We were sure that our reservation was for Lalahan Hotel, as stated in our booking confirmation. We asked for another room, and the next day a different receptionist offered us a new one. The new room was much better—clean, with a pleasant smell and nice furniture. That was when we discovered that there are actually two hotels managed as one. We are not sure why they tried to mislead us, but this is why I strongly suggest paying close attention to these details.. .

. Lalahan otelde konaklama imkanı bulamadık. Zira bize ayrılan odalarda teknik bir problem vardı... Ancak işletmenin yakındaki diğer otelinde bizi misafir ettiler. Otel hizmet, konfor ve güleryüzlü personel olarak gayet yeterliydi. Teşekkür ediyroum.. .

Excellent location close to everything, clean with average facilities. Staff could be nicer. The hotel is situated right on the centre of town, on a straight path to Sultanahmet square. Great transport links on the tram stations. Accessible to all shops and popular places. It is clean, with average facilities. A good 3 stars but I'll deduct a star for staff rudeness and lack of professionalism. I was sitting at the reception area with my group of friends and the reception staff barged in , asking who amongst us allowed so much stain on the pillow case in our room, accusing us of cleaning our shoes with the pillow case in front of everyone. It was quite embarrassing! I may never return or recommend. . .

Perfect Location. If you plan a visit to Istanbul , the Lalahan Hotel is the place to stay. The rooms and bathrooms are a good size , beds are comfortable , good linen and everything is cleaned and replaced daily. Breakfast is good, with the usual selection you expects in Turkiye. The location of the hotel is excellent as you can visit most of the attractions in Sultanahmet and Fatih on foot and also down walk to Eminonu to get a ferry. The staff are exceptional in the way they help guests with all their queries. I cannot recommend this hotel too highly.. .

. Awesome place to stay. I want to thank the Housekeeper especially on the fourth floor as she found my shirt after I checked out and was able to return to pick it up ( It was my favorite shirt). Third time staying here. The beds are so comfortable that its easy to sleep thru the mornings. Thanks again 4 a great stay.. .

A good experience . Excellent hotel, actually simple but comfortable, in the very center of Istanbul. Rooms were clean, and regularly refurnished on a daily basis. Breakfast was good, more on the salty side. The hotel is surrounded by many shops and restaurants. . .

. The "junior suite" was quite roomy and very comfortable since our room was at the rear if the building, it was actually very quiet at night, despite what I had heard about Istanbul being super noisy. Staff at the Lalahan are very pleasant and helpful Decent choice if you want to be in a convenient location -- easy walk to some of the major attractions such as the Hagia Sophia. Only real drawback is that this walk (and the hotel) is on the road with the tram/streetcar, so you need to be REALLY careful to stay on the sidewalk... . .

The perfect hotel for Istanbul exploration. With extremely friendly and professional staff, clean nice rooms and a perfect central location, this is a hotel I can recommend. In fact we stayed there twice during our Turkey trip. And the breakfast is great with a nice variety and very friendly management. Many of Istanbul's main attractions are on walking distance which made it very convenient for us. Highly recommended.. .
