Convenient and nice place to stay. This is a tricky review (which I'll explain at the end). Overall, I found this hotel to be well located for visiting all that Barcelona has to offer without breaking the bank. It's steps to the metro, 5 minutes walk to the Placa Espanya and surrounded by nice little restaurants and cafes. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was a bit small and the bathroom had only enough room for one person at a time. The housekeeping could use a little more attention to details. So why is this tricky? Because on the last night of our stay we returned to police cars in front due to a serious domestic family incident that had occurred that evening. The staff handled it well and asked us to return and stay in our room while police were there. The incident was serious enough that there were TV crews out front of the hotel in the morning when we were checking out. Let me be clear that what happened there was not the fault of the hotel which had very good security where we never felt unsafe. It was a bit unsettling when we learned what had occurred, so it's difficult for me to rate the hotel any higher.. .

. We very much enjoyed staying at the Concordia. The location was great! Optional breakfast was also great. We enjoyed the space in the suite and the bed was comfortable and bath was clean and spacious. Although we didn't swim, the area by the pool was a nice warm get a way from the bustle of the city. When we arrived after hours I felt secure knowing someone was manning the door. Thank you!. .

Far From 4 Star. This is not a 4 star hotel. Room similar to a dorm. Empty fridge. Kettle with instant coffee. The massage services are a card for a masseuse to come to your hotel room and you can rent the jacuzzi for 20 minutes. Not a pleasant walk in the daytime in this area and wouldn't dream of it at night. Front desk called us a taxi and we were then robbed by the driver.. .

Hotel Concordia. Very convenient location, looks of food options. Out of El Rambo yet within short distance via metro or walk. Walking distance to San Antoni Market which is more local and less touristy than La Boquetia. People are generally nice and friendly.. .

. Nice, comfortable hotel. The staff was super friendly, and the room super spacious, much bigger than in other hotels I have visited in Barcelona. I booked last minute and it was available at a more competitive price than comparable properties. The location is fairly good - not in the Barrio Gotico, but pretty close to most locations, and easily accessible by subway too. . .
