Great hotel in a central location. I returned to Hotel Helios Opera because of its excellent location, just steps away from my office. It’s a small, charming hotel that is very clean and well-maintained.
This time, I was pleasantly surprised with an upgrade. I had booked a classic room but was offered a superior one. They even asked if I wanted to stay on the top floor, which isn’t accessible by elevator—you have to take stairs from the fifth to the sixth floor. I agreed and found myself in a cozy, under-the-roof room. While I expected something larger, the room was still spacious for Paris standards in this price range and central location.
The room was spotless, the heating worked perfectly, and I had a very comfortable stay. Although I didn’t try the breakfast, I noticed they offered croissants and water downstairs, which was a nice touch.
The staff is incredibly polite and helpful. Given the proximity to my office and the overall experience, I will definitely be staying here again!. .

I recommend and I will return.. Lovely and clean hotel with a perfect location, in a very calm street.
We got an upgrade because they saw that we are staying in their Hotel on the day of my husband’s birthday.

There are better options. The hotel is in a convenient location but that’s all it has going for it. The rooms were small- even by Paris standards. We had rooms 106 and 108. They were shabby, dark, and lacked proper charging stations etc. the bathroom was so tiny- one person barely fit in it.

3 star hotel at 4 star prices - tiny rooms with thin walls. We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in mid-August. It says it’s a 4 star hotel, but it’s really closer to a 3, charging a 4 star price. We checked in at around 9 pm because our train got in late and the lady at the front desk didn’t seem too pleased about that. Here are some of the pros/cons:
Pros:
-Located close to the metro and the Galeries Lafayette Haussmann
-Mini fridge
Cons:
-Every time you leave the hotel, you have to return the key (an actual metal key) to them. When you come back, you ask for the key back. This is the first time I’ve ever heard of something like that and made it feel uncomfortable to come and go as we pleased
-Our room was right above the kitchen so we’d hear dishes clanging really early in the morning
-Walls are thin. We could hear whenever our neighbors turned on the shower
-The room is ridiculously small, even for Paris. There was barely any room for one luggage, let alone two
-Shower door is insufficient and water would get everywhere
-Bathroom is cramped
As you can see, the cons far outweigh the pros so I would definitely not recommend staying here.. .
