Great location, Nice and welcoming hotel. I am writing this review because I am spending my last night at the Hotel. I was a bit skeptical when I chose this Hotel over other options. Still, to my surprise, the Hotel Catalonia Eixample 1864 was the best option for me as a solo female traveler. Now let's talk about the goods: The Hotel's location is a traveler's dream! It's within walking distance of many attractions, and there's a plethora of cafes, bars, and restaurants in the vicinity, perfect for a solo traveler's exploration. The staff at Hotel Catalonia Eixample 1864 are not just friendly, but also incredibly welcoming and always ready to assist, making you feel like a valued guest. On the third night of my stay, there was a minor issue in my bathroom. I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel's swift and efficient response. Instead of a potentially frustrating discussion, the staff immediately offered to change my room, ensuring my comfort and peace of mind. The breakfast at the Hotel is a delight. While the hot breakfast items were not available until today, it didn't detract from the overall experience. The variety and quality of the other items more than made up for it. The only minor issue was that the omelets, kept under a warmer, were not as warm as I would have liked, and the coffee was a bit watery. However, the rest of the buffet was so good that these were easily overlooked. The gym, though very small, is aptly equipped. all in all, I highly recommend staying at this spectacular Hotel.. .

A very enjoyable and relaxing stay, would definitely stay again.. Location central to the city, very clean and friendly staff. The slight lingering cigarette smoke in the hallway.

Bait and switch. We booked a room through Priceline in February 2024 for a two night stay in October. The room we paid for had a balcony and private hot tub. After a 15 hour flight and cab ride we get to our hotel room to find no such accomodations! The front desk tells us they have had problems with Priceline undercutting room prices and that the hotel does not offer the room we paid for at this price. They refused any type of adjustment or upgraded accomodation. Why does this hotel still accept bids from Priceline if they know they are doing a "bait and switch" on people? Is the hotel in on the scam? I'm starting to believe so. We paid for the room 9 months in advance. How does this hotel not know they won't give us this room at the price we paid? Why are they still doing business with Priceline? Go soemwhere else. Don't stay here.. .

Comfortable rooms and fantastic service. The room was modern and spacious, with a really comfortable bed. The staff at the hotel were really helpful and welcoming. Location of the hotel was also fantastic - with a short walk to the city, public transport and even direct links to the airport.. There was nothing we did not like! The only thing we did not realise was that the pool was closed (maybe due to the season?), and we had planned to visit the pool in the mornings. Overall, it was not a problem for us, but something to consider..
