Ok but disappointed. The hotel was very clean, including the bedding, towels and bathroom. The beds were comfy.
The breakfast was a bit basic but it was nice, and the kitchen was clean. Some of the cold food (such as eggs, cheese and ham) varied in when it was made available. Overall a good selection.
The staff were friendly and tried to help us out as much as was possible.. The hotel wasn't up to the standards we expect from an Ibis Styles. The hotel looks a bit dated, with the carpets needing replaced. Our first room had a bad smell.
The room was really hot and lacking air-conditioning. There is an Aldi across the street, which was noisy with deliveries and bin collections at early hours, making it difficult to sleep with the window open.
This room also experienced a leak during our stay. It was clear that this had happened before as there was celotape over a hole in the ceiling. The room should be put out of use until this is fixed.
After we were eventually moved, the second room was better but still had a bit of a smell and dated carpetting. There was much less noise as this room was facing away from the main street..
