Robbed in the lobby. BEWARE! One of the notorious thieves in Barcelona was able to enter deep into the lobby of this hotel unnoticed and steal my personal bag containing all my money, phone, passport, etc., whilst my back was turned to collect an item from my suitcase. By the grace of god I caught a brief glimpse of a shadow and checked to see if my bag was still on the sofa in front and to the side. In a split second, I sprinted to the outside entry door and caught the thief and retrieved my bag. I tried to apprehend the thief, who after a chase was eventually apprehended by the undercover police who were close by. Before he was apprehended, I yelled to the hotel staff for help. A tall (probably assistant manager) went to the front door afterwards and just stood there looking in the totally wrong direction from where the thief ran. I tried to tell him he’s looking in the wrong direction. The thief went the opposite way ( the same direction where I ran after the thief). He arrogantly told me to calm down and that he was assessing the situation. What? In the end, I pushed my suitcase behind the counter and took off after him myself (I hate thieves ). With the help of the police, he was apprehended after a struggle a street away. In the lobby with the police whilst we were filing a report, Victor, the manager, came over and gave me his business card and subsequently sent a bottle of wine to the room, which was a nice gesture but doesn’t mitigate the total lack of security. To sum it up, the criminal is due in court but not until 2026 because of the backlog of robberies in Barcelona. The location of the hotel is good. I gave it 2 stars because they are currently digging up the road outside. I love Barcelona and will not let this incident deter me from returning or recommending Barcelona to my friends.. .

Not what we paid for!. Paid extra for what was described as a ‘panoramic view of the city’. This, as we later found out, consisted of a roof from the adjacent building. When I complained, I was offered a free breakfast. As we sat down for breakfast the next morning, we were told they were closed! The receptionist had given us the incorrect times. Staff refused to admit their error and blamed us. Staff can be summed up in two words - dishonest and unprofessional.. .

Loved our stay for one night. Have booked another 3 nights one week later.. Beautifully appointed boutique hotel. Staff excellent lounge/bar waiting area very warm and comfortable. Free drink on arrival. Cookies available in the check in area. Very central. Could not be better.. Lack of cupboard space in room. The only reason for 9 out of 10 rating..

Good option for a short stay.. Clean room and good location.. Room is not well heated and breakfast is expensive..

Lovely stay-a good value for money. Very good location, in the gothic quarters. The hotel room was very clean throughout ,with big windows for plenty of light to come through. The bathroom was quite spacious,modern, and clean. There were complementary toiletries and water in a good quality, which were much appreciated and are always a big plus for one's staying. Nice terrace bar, with great views(unfortunately, I didn't have the time to sit and enjoy it as planned) Definitely, staying again, if ever again in Barcelona. The fact that it was located on the main busy road and at the time of visit they were a lot of contractual work on the biggest part of the street.That caused a bit more noise and was kind of blocking the entrance of the hotel. (But obviously wasn't the hotel's fault) Staff could have been a bit more welcoming and kind throughout the stay. Not all our interactions were pleasant..

Incredible, perfect and amazing value for a high class hotel :-). Everything!!! Fabulous staff, great rooms and bathroom / cleanliness, bar service excellent, loved rooftop bar, location amazing!! Value for money was excellent at around £150 per night for such an excellent place in central location. Loved it!!. Nothing, it was all excellent.
