Ideal hotel.perfect location clean friendly perfect. It took me ages to find the perfect hotel for our stay in Istanbul but after reading the reviews, checking the location and speaking to the hotel this one i knew was perfect for us. Luxx Garden hotel is literally a 4-5 minute walk from the Blue Mosque and 5-6 minute walk Hagia Sofia. The hotel is perfect walking distance. Right outside the door 30 steps to the left and right there are surrounding restaurants and takeaways open all night. Local shops close by. 7 minute walk to the tram line and less than 10 min walk to Topkapi Palace. We flew to Sabiha Glokcen Airport; took us 45 mins by private transfer (i booked the journey to the hotel on booking.com, nightmare finding the driver!) our return journey booked through hotel much easier. Rooms are clean. housekeeping and reception lovely. very nice breakfast, coffee machine in reception. elevator to the higher floors. carded entry to rooms with radiators and heaters. each room has a working fridge. we didnt use the safe as it wasnt locked down. bedding clean nice decoration and great lighting. 24hour reception. we chose this hotel as wanted to be near blue mosque and would 100% return it was fantastic.
when we return to istanbul we would probably look at staying nearer the grand bazaar and taking the tram two stops to blue mosque as. grand bazaar food places are much fresher than those in sultanahmet which are less busier.
we loved luxx garden. we had a family suite. 2 ensuites. 1 large kingsize and 2 singles in the second bedroom. it was a lovely hotel. staff are so lovely.. getting into the hotel with a pram was a little difficult due to initial steps but it didnt put me off and isnt a negative as we lifted it each time even though there is a ramp it just was. a bit narrow for our pram..

Not good. Location and nice staff. The heater didn't work, it was dirty, they didn't change the towels, it was smelly.

Great hotel, but the area is a tourist trap.. Everything was great, the location, the breakfast, the staff, the room.. The area is a tourist trap for Turkey, everything cost 2x the normal price. Better stay outside of this area..
