Pleasant stay but could be so much better. We had a lovely time at Skallion but the hotel needs some maintenance. Our shower leaked and aircon didn’t work even after we reported the issue several times which made the stay in Istanbul uncomfortably hot. The staff were friendly and kind. The breakfast lacks an egg station and was average. . .

Disappointing!. Dingy hotel. First and last time to stay here. Restaurant staff was shouting rude comments in Turkish, assuming no one understood. And, we got it all.
Front desk lady was very professional and a problem solver.
Rooms smelled of sewage.
Overall, creepy hotel where you hear all sounds from surrounding rooms and above.. .

. This hotel is located in front of an extremely busy street. With sidewalks very uneven and you literally need to fear getting hit by a car or motorcycle while crossing the street. The rooms are small and bathroom very small. This hotel has one busy elevator. The breakfast is very basic nothing to consider elaborate. The roof top restaurant overlooks tops of other buildings and the straights. The pictures and views shown on the travel sites are much more embellished than reality. There is assorted restaurants on a plaza very close by. The Grand Bazaar is one mile up hill from the hotel, but the other attractions is far away, take public transportation. Again be aware of the traffic. I highly advise to get a hotel near the rail system, as this becomes a much easier way to see the main sites. This hotel is about 45 minutes away from the airport As far as the four star ratings I give it a 3. . .

Several issues.. There was a sewage smell in our room. The staff couldn't deal with it, and we were not offered a different room. The TV didn’t work and was only fixed after two days. It was also impossible to communicate with the staff in English. All our requests were either ignored or fulfilled with a delay.. .

Stay away. Do not stay at this hotel. It’s extremely loud, the rooms have many issues such as no air conditioning, leaking shower and generally very basic. Do not recommend it at all. the location is quite central but it’s not the safest for tourists attending for the first time.. .
