Exceptional. Everything. The breakfast was really good. Cold items for the most part, but a good variety. The staff was quite friendly and helpful. The place is located close to metro Europe and just a 10 mins walk to Villiers. Perfect for the options. They had a water cooler at reception with still and sparkling water. Who else does that? No one. Such a great place.. No fridge. But I used the balcony since it was cold and winter. Worked out perfectly..

Great stay in a great location!. Having never been to Paris (let alone Europe!) before, I wasn't really sure where to stay so I was mainly searching based on brands I recognised for some level of quality, and price.
I stumbled upon the Ibis Styles Paris Gare Saint Lazare while browsing the Accor ALL website and after looking at its location, thought it would be an ideal stay for my first stop in Paris. Needless to say I was very impressed with this hotel!
The hotel appears to be three separate buildings joined together at the ground floor (there's three elevators that go to separate parts of the hotel), so you'll need to make sure you use the correct elevator as if you use the wrong one, you'll have to go down to the ground floor and go up again at the correct elevator.
The rooms are small, but from my understanding in Paris small rooms are the standard unless you are paying an absolute fortune. But the bed was incredibly comfortable - I slept very well for my two nights there, and not just because I was jetlagged from flying in from Australia! The bathroom was nice, but the shower was small, and I didn't much care for the shower curtain. Liquid hand soap was provided in the bathroom (hooray!); however, it was an all-in-one product that was a body wash and shampoo too, so it was also provided in the shower.
The daily breakfast was lovely, with an assortment of pastries, breads, cold cuts, yoghurts and fruits alongside tea, machines for coffee and a fresh orange juice squeezing machine. All the staff I met were friendly (and tolerated my horrible, horrible French but were more than happy to switch to English!)
One thing I loved about this hotel and wished that more hotels did was that there was in the lobby a water coolerilter, and at check in I was offered a reusable glass bottle to fill from here. This is a great idea, as it meant that I didn't have to buy my own bottled water (or drink bathroom tap water which I always find a bit disgusting to do!). There was also a kettle, tea and coffee selections, cups and a microwave in the lobby for guests to use at their leisure.
The hotel is in a great location - the Europe metro station is the closest (about two minutes' walk away but is stairs only - no escalator or elevator), with the Saint Lazare metro (escalator entrance and exit) and mainline station being about five or so minutes away, and Villiers (which has an escalator exit) and Rome (stairs only) metro stations each being about 6-7 minutes' walk away. There are several supermarkets nearby, as well as some lovely bakeries and various restaurants (I never partook in these).
I was very happy with my stay here and would happily consider staying here again in the future!. .

Horrible jail experience. Horrible rooms felt like jail they gave me upgrade 2 times and both upgrade were very little upgrade, the first upgrade room did not had shower doors the bathroom was a small closet, the room you can barely move not furniture, it was just horrible horrible place

I’m a frequent traveler and this is by far the worst hotel I’ve stayed in . The room was filthy, sheets were covered in hair, fluff and yellow stains (either urine or sweat), desk was greasy and shower covered in hair and mould. I arrived late and had no other alternative but left at 6am the next day. There was no apology and I was still charged for one night. Appalling experience. . .
