Disappointing experience - basic hygiene (No Hot Water). I stayed at Hotel 77 from 15th to 18th September 2025, the first was fine but after that I regret to say it was a deeply disappointing experience. For a large part of our stay, there was no hot water, making it impossible to shower or maintain basic hygiene. Despite raising this issue with staff at the time, we were met with a dismissive and unhelpful attitude. I submitted a formal complaint to the hotel on 22nd September, requesting a refund for one night as a minimum gesture of goodwill, given the disruption and lack of service. To this day (21st October 2025), I have received no response at all — not even an acknowledgment. This level of customer service is frankly shocking. Two follow-up emails were also ignored, and it is impossible to get in touch with anyone beyond a generic “info@” email address. There appears to be no accountability or willingness to address serious guest concerns.. .

. It was a great location if you wanted to sights and be a 15-20 minute walk from the big attractions in Central Rome. However, the hotel is not really 4 stars, there is chipped paint in several areas and they just have one elevator , which fits 2 people comfortably and 3 people in a tight squeeze. This is for a place that is 7 floors! I walked a few times to my 4th floor room to avoid the wait. The "pool" is more of a wading pool, about 2-3 feet in depth and no more than 5 meters in width. You wont do any real swimming, but it can be nice after a long day sightseeing. There are a couple small jacuzzis that kids might like. For Americans (which I am) the air condiioning was just ok. The room eventually got cold enough for me, but it took time and I would say Americans are used to colder max settings, The walls were also thin, we could hear other people in rooms talking at normal levels, its definitely not soundproofed. The beds were also very firm, Ive travelled a lot and it was the hardest bed Ive slept in. I was able to sleep fine, but it will not be for everyone. The morning buffet was pretty decent overall. We didnt go to dinner there, but it looked like a nice place to have a drink/eat. However, there are plenty of good restaurant choices in the neighborhood as well. Overall, for my trip , it was fine, but I really wouldnt recommend it to anyone I know. It was clean enough, the staff was professional and courteous, but its just not a real 4 star hotel . .

. Everything is clean and well kept. The bath house is amazing. Water is warm and we enjoyed swimming from little room to room. . .

. Hotel was good in a decent area. A bit challenging to get around sometimes, especially at night. The pool area was okay but left a bit to be desired and making reservations was something I didn’t expect. . .

Hotel Seventy Seven. We stayed here last week and had a good experience. The receptionists were friendly and the room was very clean, comfortable and looked onto the main road. We booked a superior room and were in the main hotel building, not the other one across the road. We had drinks at the rooftop bar which were lovely too. We didn’t get the chance to go to the pool downstairs and the jacuzzi on the top floor looked like it hadn’t been used, and also wasn’t very private, it was just next to the bar and eating area with nowhere to get changed so we didn’t go. The breakfast was £13 per person per day and we personally wouldn’t recommend it. Most of it was cold with only a couple of hot items, and was hardly any selection, it was not very nice, and a lot of it was stale. The aircon/heating didn’t work in the room, however the weather was nice when we went so it didn’t really bother us. The hotel is around a 20 minute walk to the centre and upon check out we had to pay 45 euros in tourist tax in cash on top. The hotel was extemely expensive, and after staying here we wouldn’t say it’s really worth the money and you could stay somewhere nicer that’s closer to the centre with a better breakfast and amenities. I think next time we go to Rome we will stay elsewhere, but we didn’t have a bad experience overall.. .

. Clean, spacious rooms. Friendly staff whom are very attentive. Decent basic breakfast. Good location, as it is 20 minutes walking distance from Trevi fountain and Spanish step. Many eateries around close by. On the downside, the room doesn’t have an iron, some plugs sockets weren’t working and Only one usb port in the room. . .
