Small Traditional Hotel near to the Bastille and Père Lachaise Cemetery. We stayed here in July 2023. We didn't like our first room which was very small but we were able to change to a bigger room due to a last minute cancellation and we were given a room in the roof which felt far more traditional (except for the wall art which was for NYC - it should be something local to Paris or France!). There was a little balcony that you could step out onto. There was no air conditioning, only a blower which was better than nothing. There was no safe and no tea/coffee making facilities but there was a hair dryer and some sachets of toiletries. The room was very quiet at night, but because it was the middle of July, it was very very warm and difficult to sleep. The room was cleaned each day and the towels replaced. The young lady on reception (curly hair, glasses) was lovely and very friendly but there was also a grumpy old man on reception! We had breakfast once and it is very basic with bread and croissants, jam etc, but there is a coffee shop within a few feet of the main entrance. The hotel is in a good location near to the Bastille underground and also the Père Lachaise Cemetery which is definitely worth a visit :) Overall we had a good stay and I would recommend this hotel.. .

Pleasant. Very good location. Friendly helpful staff. Adequate facilities.. Room was stuffy and smelt musty. Wallpaper was peeling off wall and had lots of mold underneath it..

Good. It was okay. The room was nice but little. The location is fine - the zone is safe and plenty of restaurants and bars.. .

Overall good. Location was near to voltaire metro.. staff behaviour was really good.. Lift and room size was too small.

Disappointing. Good position, near the Metro Station Voltaire, on the main line to the principal monuments. Nice and helpful staff, speaking English.. There is nothing "Grand" in this hotel, everything is small. The elevator is small and so was our room. There was no space to move in the room, in the wardrobe you can't even put a cabin trolley inside. The bathroom was the worst: IN the shower there is the sink, so to just wash your hands you need to go through the shower. The wc is small. Our room was next to the elevator, so we could hear all the engine noises and the people going out. Last but not least, the cleaning service made only the bed and threw away the rubbish, but the floor had never been cleaned. Actually, it's not worth what we paid..

Not a "Grand Hotel" at all. There is nothing "Grand" in this hotel, everything is small. The elevator is small and so was our room. Basic small room in a very good location. Location was amazing, very close to the metro station, supermarkets and boulangeries and a 10 min walk to the Bastille area that it’s full of cool bars and restaurants. The bed was comfortable.. The bathroom was the biggest problem of the room, very small sink inside the shower and a very drafty window, covered in mould, just in front of the toilet made it very uncomfortable. The door of the bathroom was see through and did not close properly. The towels were cleanbut very tired, they should be replaced with new ones. The radiator in the room wasn’t working, so the room wasn’t warm but an electric radiator was provided, although said radiator was extremely dirty. The room was generally clean but the floor was dusty..

Highly recommended!!. I don't understand the negative reviews on this place. Yes the rooms are small, but that's been true of every hotel I've stayed in in any major European city! You're not in America, folks. And personally I didn't come to Paris to hang out in my room! This place is a great value, the rooms are clean and well maintained, and the staff to a person have been awesome!! It's in a great neighborhood with lots of wonderful shops and restaurants. Could not recommend it more highly!!!. .
