Not recommended!. The location good, the staff was nice and kind.. There is no parking in the hotel, they told us that there is a parking nearby and this parking was at the price of the stay, then they Parked our car in front of the street which is not Ok, when we requested a parking… Additionally, we booked two double rooms for 4 people and we were hosted in one standard room and the other room was single room for 1 person and they gave it to us for 2 persons….

Perfect location. Friendly staff, great view from the window, very good location, new interior. Bed could be more comfy, budget room is very small as it is described when you book, but it has all you need. Breakfast on the roof is great, very turkish and the view is great. Spa area is not very cosy, it was a little bit wierd.. .

Perfect stay. A very beautiful hotel in a very nice location close to tram stop and Galata tower. Lots of restaurants around and buzling vibe. .

Fantastic hotel!. My husband and I had a wonderful stay here. Excellent staff and beautiful hotel design, art and interiors. Excellent value for money and it’s in the best location in Istanbul for cafes, nightlife and easy to get everywhere. We will definitely be back soon!. .

Good location but imposing to sleep!. The he hotel is very beautiful and well designed the location is also very central.. The rooms were extremely small, making it feel cramped and uncomfortable. On top of that, it was incredibly noisy - there was constant noise from outside, and a dog was barking all night, making it nearly impossible to sleep..

The location and lobby are good, the service and cleanliness are not acceptable.. It had a good location and access to downtown. Overall, the lobby is nice and pleasant.. It was not clean, especially the bathroom and toilet. There were no amenities in the room. There was a problem with hot water during the stay..

Beautiful central hotel and great value for money. Amazing location, very central with tram station, bars and food options in a very short distance and grrat value for money. The staff at the reception has been so friendly that really went above and beyond on offering us the best possible experience. Special thanks to Mert, who has been patiently answering all our questions and even prompted us to ask even more, whenever we had the need to. They also kindly upgraded our room so we could be on the same floor with our friends, so we appreciated this gesture. The guys that welcomed us upon our arrival, we're also very nice - the restaurant of the hotel was already closed by the time we got there, so they were trying to call another place to accommodate us with food options. Unfortunately I do not recall the name of the sweet girl that was working on our last day during our checkout, but she was very warm, friendly and smiley. The reception of the hotel was very beautifully decorated and for the ones that enjoy a spa day, there is one at the lower storey of the hotel, which unfortunately we did not have the time to visit. Overall, I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Root Karaköy hotel, and if we decide to revisit Istanbul, we will not give it a second thought where to book our stay.
