Horrible Morning. . The room was made up, an annex covered with glass and curtains. The sink was broken. They served us breakfast room after 8 o'clock because they didn't have a restaurant. Even though we asked them to bring it to us at 8 o'clock, they brought it later. Breakfast was a disaster: 2 thin pieces of salami, 4 olives, a small tomato divided into 2 parts, 3 cucumbers and half an omelette per person. Even though we asked them twice to bring us coffee, they brought us tea. A disaster with itself. I suggest you avoid it because the breakfast is cheating. (Look at the attached pictures for the breakfast).

Not recommended at all. The location. First of all I have felt controlled by the receptionists while my stay, someone wanted to visit me just one hour but the receptionist for ask it 250 Turkish lira. This is unacceptable. Secondly, the towels were stinky and not clean. The shower was not functioning properly and it was too small I was not able brush my teeth, there is no space in the bathroom..

Very good. The location of the hotel it's really very good , the staff is friendly and respectful and the room clean .. .

Superb. Very good position to get to the Taksim square (5-7 min walk), a small but comfy room, with air conditioning, kettle and tea bags. Nice building. Can recommend.. Breakfast is served in the room, you have to call the reception when you are ready: one day it was served rapidly, another time I had to wait for more than 40 minutes..

Simply horrible it ruined my trip.. Will not use bookingdotcom again- the descriptions of OTTOPERA hotel on bookingdotcom IS NOT accurate, was plain deceit. Important things: Smoking by staff right at entrance door all Day and night non stop and smoke goes all over reception and up to second floor rooms. I could not open windows above entrance all week. Cleanliness was lacking, it was horribly filthy in fact. my suite was not clean, bed was not made they just left a folded blanket (allegedly clean) and a pillow on the bed. The floors were filthy, the bathroom was also not clean. Booking said free toiletries, there was non only a tiny packaged round soap. Also said suite has air conditioning - this is preset to run for 5 minutes and it auto shuts. So the heat will wake you up every hour in the night due to heat in room, sweating and overheated from hot summer Istanbul nights. The Tiny single packages of coffee and tea left on a top bulky for room size dresser are only complimentary for the first night. They don’t even offer them after that, I bought them at the corner grocery store. No guests or visitors allowed but what bothered me is you are told via message after you have already booked, it should be disclosed prior to booking non refundable rooms. Reception guy confronted me and was very rude and upset because I placed my complaints of his all night smoking through my travel agent, so he would smoke even more in retaliation and hotel owners don’t care because you have already paid in advance. Also all these rules should be specified in advance on bookingdotcom In fact bookingdotcome just ghosted me. I recommend that you do not make your reservations on bookingdotcom or this hotel if you want a smoke free room & environment. and if you must do only refundable bookings. I would have canceled after my first night. You do need a smoke free space after a day of exploring Istanbul as 90% of people smoke everywhere.. Everything even the stair steps are dangerous, no elevator..
