stay away!. The staff member overshadows the entire experience. unprofessional, rude, and not knowing how to deal with people. The room furniture is very old. The bathroom and room service are very comfortable. location excellent.. Location excellent, bathroom very comfortable..

Superb. All was really good for the price: location, room, and bed.. The only fault that I found was that there was noise in the wall from plumbing from the ajoining room. Not horrible but a bit annoying in the morning. Also if they changed the light to warmer bulbs the lobby would better resemble the photos..

Comfortable hotel close to major attractions.. Beautiful old building, comfy beds, great location near the main square, close to restaurants.. .

Safe and central. location excellent, staff very helpful and hotel was nice and quiet no noise at night. Also availed of breakfast on both mornings which was very convenient and adequate. The hotel was old worldly and beautifully kept.. Was totally satisfied.

Nice hotel near the heart of the action.. Venue is located in a quiet side street just off a main thoroughfare. Location is great as you can walk to restaurants, markets, shopping and sights. Room size was great with a big double and single in room.. No bar fridge in room meant you couldn't keep milk or drinks cold in the room. TV was not visible from the main bed and had a single bed only in the area it was located so no where to sit and watch on return to room at night..

Convenient stopover after a cruise to enjoy all that Barcelona has to offer.. Great location for shops, restaurants and sightseeing. Also close to Plaça Catalunya for transport links and airport bus. It is close to the Carrefour on the Rambla and a couple of places for breakfast. There is a lift to the upper floors and a water dispenser in the lobby. There was a plug on each side of the bed for charging electrical items. Room a little small and bed far too soft for me. The walls were very thin so we could hear our neighbours coming in late at night. They were very loud and banged doors deliberately..

Great Hotel. We really liked this hotel. The situation is perfect, just off la rambla in a quiet street. A couple of really good restaurants beside the hotel meant we could stay off the busy streets. The hotel is historic and elegant. Spotlessly clean. Quiet at all times. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. We had a lovely welcome from Enrique. I think the lady in the back office may be a bit stern but I think is a nice person and perhaps draws a few poor reviews but I think is a sincere person. We didn't have breakfast because of the booking system but not a problem because cafes so close by. We would recommend this hotel and we hope to come back to Barcelona again and would definitely stay here.The situation is unbeatable and was good value for money. Winter will be better than summer in Barcelona and in January temps were 18°C.. .

We had a great stay, ok for a couple of nights to explore the city.. Great location, friendly staff.. It would have been good to have tea/ coffee making facilities and duvet on beds, rooms were basic..
