Location is wonderful but a bit noisy. Location was fantastic and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Facilities (eg bathrooms) were modern. Beds were very comfortable. Provided coffee and tea and a lovely welcome bottle of wine and chocolates. The apartments are spacious and have a lot of character. Overall it was an enjoyable stay. The floors were a bit dirty (or maybe that comes with original tiles/fixtures). When we arrived there were workmen in the apartment. The lounge room heater was so noisy we had to switch it off. We rented 2 apartments, a 2 bedroom and a 3 bedroom. Unfortunately the 3 bedroom apartment faced the Placa de Catalunya and we were kept awake by the piano playing throughout the early hours of the morning..

Barcelona. We stayed here after staying in an H10 hotel in Tenerife and we were not disappointed! The staff ranging from reception to house keeping were so attentive and on the ball. We have thoroughly enjoyed our short stay and if we were to come back to Barcelona I think we will definitely stay here over the bigger 4☆ H10 Metropole. A very intimate and friendly hotel. Small room, no elevator reaching the room. The location is the reason why I chose this hotel and I was pleased with it. The room was clean and the amenities provided were good. The check-in and check-out processes were relatively fast.. I did not know that the elevator only reaches the third floor while my room was on the fourth floor. This means you have to haul your luggage for an entire flight of stairs to reach your room. The noise of the elevator when it reached the third floor was a nuisance until someone closed the door leading to the corridor (I didn´t know the door served that purpose). The room was extremely small and you hardly had room to walk around the bed, much less to put a large suitcase. The TV was placed on one side of the bed and therefore, it was close to impossible to watch, unless you want to end up with torticollis (a wry neck)..
