Box-Ticking Bliss as a City Getaway Gem. Their amazing staff (with excellent English) included Nayan - a wonderfully warm, good-humoured young man who provided a luxurious welcome. He accommodated my awkwardly early arrival, held bags safely, gave some tips for the local area, and also non-intrusively checked in throughout my stay to ensure all was acceptable. He also assisted with booking a taxi to the airport). His younger colleague Musa was an equally friendly, chatty colleague who helped with luggage from the main building to our residence. Breakfast: not a continental/buffet style. Blanket provision of breads, pastries, various spreads, some freshly chopped cucumber, tomatoes. Then, the choice of hot breakfast dishes = more than sufficient to start the day. Tea, coffee, and juice also. Beautiful rooftop restaurant with panoramic views as you dine. Building : historic, beautifully decorated, historical tidbits of info dotted throughout the corridors and outside bedrooms. Bedroom : spacious, comfortable, clean and well maintained. Excellent bathroom with large, walk-in shower and sublime water pressure. One downside = the TV did not work, no access to any channels (for those rare downtime moments when you are between activities and just want to chill) Area: Galata is super trendy, with lots of photo opportunities, but also super accessible to main tourist areas via tram. The hotel's partner gym (Rouma Fitness) is only a 5-minute walk, has lovely staff, is well equipped, has good music and general hygiene/neatness as you exercise. SALT Galata was a highlight, a great place to visit and just drink in the architecture, but also to work/write, grab a coffee. One thing to consider is that this particular corner of Istanbul is especially hilly, which can either mean very satisfying step counts and glute glow-ups during your stay, or potential accessibility issues.. .

great for quick escape. very huge and comfortable room (esp the bed), centrally located at galata, no need to hike hill with many lugggage if you come by airport transfer. excellent breakfast service , warm staff and magnificent bosphophorus view, just have to walk to another building (just a block away).. room view facing another building, bit pricey, no bathtub.

wonderful boutique stay. Marriott excellence. breakfast really good, had to go to a separate building for breakfast which is not an issue. clean, more boutique feel, if the price is right, yo9u won't regret going here. instructions were vague at best as to breakfast location, had a staff member take us in the direction but left us without instruction in the rain to find our own way - no signage, we worked it out.

Amazing staff and great location!. The hotel was located in a great location with the galata tower within a short walk - there were lots of shops and restaurants nearby and getting to the main tourist attractions was very easy! But the best thing about the property was the staff who were all extremely lovely and helpful - would definitely stay again and recommend.. .

Cute, comfortable stay in a heritage look property. With it’s history. Staff was helpful and service for small things were also taken care of. .
