Not staying there again. Only good thing was the convenient location.. clean bathroom. Whenever we went to reception, there was no staff. We always had to wait for ages for someone to show up. There is no bell to ring for attention at the reception either. The room has no air conditioner. The temp was set at a fixed temp and it was too warm for us, could not change the temp on thermostat. So rang the reception at night for assistance and there was no answer. The room was absolutely tiny! There was hardly any space for 2 people to move comfortably in that room..

Despite the initial “strange” impression, if I were to return to Istanbul, I would return to the same hotel.. The location of hotel is great. Everything you “must see” in Istanbul is within walking distance, approximately 10-15 minutes. You don’t have to take a taxi or any other means of transportation, even the most distant (touristic parts of Istanbul) parts are a 45-minute easy walk. The neighborhood and street itself are safe, unlike some other parts of Istanbul. All around are shops and restaurants and it’s really lively street.
Rooms are great, spacious. Bed is comfortable and pillows are veery good. You have everything you need inside.
The prices at the restaurant below, which is connected to the hotel, are a bit expensive but we ate once and it was ok. The service is friendly.. Our flight was canceled for another day.
When we sent an email, no one answered us. We tried to call the number offered by booking, but the person on the other side sounded like a hot line. It seemed that number was not connected to the hotel at all. “She” asked very strange questions and until the last moment we didn't know what would happen with the reservation even though it was paid in advance.
When we arrived at the reception, we were greeted by the receptionist who "couldn't find our reservation" even though I showed the reservation confirmation and payment 4 months in advance. Hr asked us to pay for one night in cash, and that the manager would come tomorrow, check our payment and give our money back. I refused, insisting that they show me the reservations in computer, where of course we found my reservation, but a day earlier. It is important to note that I told him earlier that the reservation was not that day but the day before... I don't know if there was a misunderstanding or if it was an attempted fraud….

I strongly recommend this hotel for any one planing to visit historic side of Istanbul. The staff attitude was very nice and so helpful, cooperative.
