Bed Bug Infestation - Do Not Stay Here!. Stayed here with a couple of friends and after 1 night I woke up to my entire body covered in bed bug bites before finding several mature bed bugs in the bed. I spent the entire only full day I had in Paris in the basement cleaning my clothes/luggage to prevent bringing them home and had to freeze the remaining clothes at home for a week! The impact this had on my life was substantial, from the constant itching (for over a week!) to feeling embarrassed to have any of the bites showing in public. The floor staff were quite helpful/apologetic and were able to relocate us to another room and pay for medicine, however when head office were emailed requesting compensation for ruining the entire Paris trip, they firstly ignored my initial email before responding with an incredibly rude email (only after I emailed them again!) saying they were certain we brought in the bed bugs and would not be refunded us. I know that their claim is untrue because our luggage was placed on the opposite side of the room to the infested bed, and my other two friends who were in a bed situated between the luggage and my bed had not suffered a single bite. We were also very diligent with checking our luggage at each travel stop and had checked our bags before arriving at Hotel Tonic. The photos clearly indicate a serious infestation in that bed and it is absolutely shocking that the hotel can just try and blame the guests like this! The receptionist also mentioned they’d sprayed the room the day prior which to me indicates they knew about the problem, but also the pesticides won’t work until the bugs are drawn out from hiding again so it’s great to know I was used as the bait for this. I’m not sure why they would also let a guest stay in a room that had just been treated with dangerous pesticides. Please do yourself a favour and don’t stay here, it has been a truly awful experience which I wouldn’t wish upon my worst enemy.. .

Great value for money, I would stay here again.. I liked that it was close to everything for an affordable price. The beds were amazing, and there were no bedbugs!! :) Staff was nice.. I didnt like how I couldnt control the AC and I had to call reception to turn the heating up/down. They had the remote control and would not give it to me..

A warm welcoming atmosphere thank you. Friendly staff, great location. Value for money. Exceeded my expectations on room size. Can't fault it.. My holiday came to an end and I had to leave!!!.

Overall very good experience, thanks to the staff. Location and staff were very pleasant. Some of the facilities were out of proper condition, hair dryer in bathroom was damaged, bathroom door didn’t closed well..

Good hotel with excellent location. Very good location. Quiet room. Good price . Tiny but nice elevator :). Bathroom could be better ( needs renovation ).

This hotel spoiled our weekend break. The location. Cockroach and bed bugs. One of our party was eaten alive and has had to visit the doctors upon returning home.

Hotel should be inspected for safety standards. Proximity to Louvre and Notre Dame. Facilities: Lift was very small. Halls were very narrow, so are the doors and inside the room. There's just enough space for a medium size luggage to pass. Room: Floor (carpet) looks and feels dirty. Bathroom got molds. It was too hot inside the room and you'd have no control to heating - A/C's not working either. Imagine sleeping with a window open on a winter. Daughter got sick afterwards. It does feel like bacteria and viruses thrive inside due to humidity and dirt..
