Acceptable, but far from impeccable.. I recently stayed at this hotel in Barcelona and overall, it was a comfortable experience. However, there were several downsides worth mentioning. The bed had wheels and would slide around with even the slightest movement, which was quite annoying during the night. The cleanliness of the room was acceptable, but far from impeccable — not what you’d expect from a higher-end place. The room we stayed in was also quite small, which made it feel a bit cramped. One major issue was the noise in the mornings, especially on days when many guests were checking out. The cleaning staff would start working on nearby rooms very early, and they were extremely loud. The noise carried through the walls and made it impossible to sleep in. Another discomfort was the temperature in the room — it was exceptionally warm, and the air conditioning unit had a musty smell, which made using it quite unpleasant. Overall, while the location and basic comfort were fine, there are several aspects that could be improved for a better guest experience.. .

Good central location. Welcoming hotel, with good facilities in central location. Booked small double room, and it is just that. Barely room to walk around the bed and beds weren’t all that comfortable. We only stayed two nights and used the room to sleep and change only so not that bad but would recommend booking a bigger room if staying longer. Bathrooms lovely but shower tray is lethal! Slipped twice in there - be warned 🙈. .

Very understanding. This was our first visit to Grupotel Gran Via 678. We were made very welcome and given a upgrade as it was my wife's birthday. We had a great couple of days until I fell very ill and had to stay in the hotel room. The next day my wife also fell ill. Nothing to do with the Hotel I may add. I did not eat for two days, but had to eat some food. We thought we would use the Hotel for some food but unfortunately the kitchen was closed because of staff shortages . So my wife ventured out for supplies. We had a late flight home on the Sunday and the hotel generously let us stay in our room as we were poorly. They also sent up a bottle of bubbly for my wife as it was her birthday, but we could not drink it as we felt unwell. We are coming back to Barcelona, as we did not see all of what we wanted. And when we come back we will again stay at Grupotel Gran Via 678. So with some luck , see you in the near future.. .

Marvellous staff. Hotel is in a fantastic location. Close to centre and lots of places to eat. We didn’t spend much time in the hotel but our room was lovely and clean but when we needed assistance from reception; they were all lovely, happy to help, friendly and patient. Would definitely stay again. .

Friendly, clean and neat, very good value. This hotel offers very friendly staff, starting already at the reception. Bar and restaurant equally friendly with lots of smiles and assistance when needed. Hotel is well situated and clean and neat throughout. Rooms were tidy, beds and comfort very good - all in all a very good value proposition.. .
