Exceptional. I don't normally write recommendations, but this time I had to. This hotel was so welcoming, the staff so friendly and helpful, and all and all professionals. I was traveling with my 7 year old daughter, so I needed some help and advice from time to time. They were always willing to help.
On the first night, when I didn't understand the directions to the restaurant, the receptionist went in there with me.
Truly amazing staff, will surely come back.
The only downside was that the room was small, but we were ready for that from the reviews.. .

First room allocated had a horrible smell, however the staff were very quick to respond and when unable to fit moved us to another one. Breakfast was good. All staff were lovely and very helpful.. Nothing really… if I had to list one thing it would be the rooms were very small however had everything we needed and were always near and clean..

Superb. The staff make a normal hotel exceptional. Every one of them was happy, engaging, pleased to help and nothing was too much effort. It was real joy to stay there; and it ‘s in a central location. The roof top bar. Almost certainly run as a separate enterprise. Not a pleasant experience.

Superb. Excellent location. Clean and comfortable room. Very nice breakfast.. If you are a light sleeper and noise disturbs you, then ask for a room on the back side of the hotel. We had a room facing the street and at 5:30 the rubbish truck picks up old class from the next door restaurant..

We had a really lovely 4 days and would recommend the Smeraldo to anyone.. The location of the hotel is fantastic. The staff are exceptionally friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was really good with a wide selection of foods available. The size of the bedroom was disappointing. Really small (although well refurbished).The same went for the bathroom, well refurbished (only a shower no bath) but really small..

A Fabulous, well located hotel with great service. I recommend this hotel very highly. We paid €183 per night and what we got for that was a great location, amazing service, breakfast included and super friendly staff. Our room was in the annex across the narrow street from the main hotel. Although small the sleek bathroom and room met all our needs. We walked everywhere, we ate at many of the local restaurants and enjoyed the neighborhood over a cappuccino. The rooftop bar / cafe was a plus. Our 6 night stay could not have been any better.. .
