Not recommended - you dont get your money back if there are problems. . We payed in advance Cash, went to the rooms and regretted choosing the hotel. The hotel is very old, as is the furniture. This is not a big Deal. However, the rooms smelled terribly like Smoking. There were ashtrays, even though we wanted non-smoking rooms. The carpet was stained with various liquids we did not want to identify. There were even burned spots on the carpet by cigarettes as well as cigarette burned spots on the furniture. We felt extremely uncomfortable using the beds and decided to leave. The reception refused to refund Our money. Legally they have to because the rooms are not like in the pictures. We insisted but He kept pretending that it is technically not possibly to make refunds. The hotel is absolutely not recommendable. As a woman i felt uncomfortable sleeping alone in a room, as the door Locks were so old and easy to hack. We left without getting a refund and found a excellent hotel for the same price..

Good trip (to Ankara), with bad smoke smelly room. Location was very nice. There was very bad smoking smell in the room, even though we requested Non Smoking room. They tried to open the windows but still the smoke smell was aweful..

Great location to explore Ankara.. The breakfast was very good. The staff is very kind. The location is perfect.. The wifi is bad. The hotel is not very well maintained. I guess smoking is not forbidden in the rooms, so the rooms have an unpleasant smell..

Great location, High price according to the facilities. The location was super, it was in the heart of Ankara right in the middle of kizlay. it was all good but i think the breakfast could be better also the room needs some renovations especially the bathroom.

Great location and nice hotel to stay if you want to enjoy the night life in Karanfil alley . The rooms are very nice and clean. Everything is perfect. They have every day room cleaning with helpful personnel. The breakfast was self service including almost everything. Price is reasonable. Also the name of the hotel now is Can Grand Hotel not grand midyat hotel.
There was a little bit of a surprise because at some time room radiator heater was off. But that was not a big deal. . .
